Best snow at vail resorts

Which mountain has the best snow? I've been skiing out of vail this week and the snow isn't looking too hot. Has anyone been to a-basin recently? Where's the best snow at?

welcome to colorado this year. It has been warm up there so it will be very crunchy aka icy. This will be at all resorts. If you find some north facing slopes in the trees there might be not so crunchy snow but you will need to hike to find this. if not go to the park later in the day when it softens up

bump. im heading to vail/breck area sunday. are you guys getting any of the storms that the west coast just got? hows the snow in CO?

been pretty dry here.

i have pretty much put my skies away for the season.

parks are good late in the day, dont bother going out in the morning when its frozen.

The past week has been pretty crappy for snow conditions. Cold nights/mornings have made for some seriously hard snow until later in the afternoons. Got out yesterday, however, and rode some perfect mashed potato slush, so fun. If you like spring conditions, get out and ride. It should be warm enough over night and in the mornings now that the snow will stay soft. And for anyone who thinks all the snow will be gone by April, you're crazy. Sure it may be gone off the trails, but every resort has plenty of base right now to stay open until their respective closing dates, including Breck extending their season til the end of April. Gonna be a fun spring!

yeah a basin has been pretty fun, everything along the west wall isn't moguled out and get's super fun around 11ish
