What do you guys think? Besides Newschoolers.com (just in case you were going to say that), what do you think is the best skiing web site and why? what makes it good?

just kidding. I really think that it is Freeride Zone. They are based out of the east coast, which I live in. They ride mountians that I ride, so I enjoy reading the articles. And their team members are people that I can see at any given day at east coast mountains. Plus, they make really cool clothing.

My other fav website is SASFilms.com I love the fact that they are east coast as well, Neil has done a great job shooting some of the best pros and up and comers on the east coast. The layout is great, and a lot of my summer was spent watching the movies on the site.

freeridezone.com is good, but he spent hours on the flash that takes a while to load and is sorta confusing too. he could make a kick-ass flash site that was eaily navigatable and impressive

Funny how massive corporations and media giants like NBC refuse to support new skiing events like big air and big mountian, yet they use the latter's image to enhance their own. Actually, not so funny. Suck it, NBC.

As cool as Freeridezone.com looks, its never updated and takes too long to load, newschoolers is the best because of the fast loading and the fact that it is soo easy for everyone to contribute. Its like the skiers update it themselves and that is different from any other ski site.

Two boards are better than one.

I think its good because it is a local website to an area that is not very big. The forum is really good and keeps on growing. And Paul Prins is awsome. He is always adding good content, pics and vids along with doing other things to make the site run better.

I like the Orage site(www.orageski.com). They have a pretty complicated layout, but if you stay for a while and try to view everyhting it gets pretty interesting. Ir look like it took a while to make.

yea i dont really like the layout of freeridezone its just kind of hard to see and see where you want to click and what does what, it does have good content just real hard to get around like there is tomuch to the page. Besides newschoolers i would say well shit i dont kow this is really the only page i go to. i go to altas page alot just to see the pics of the day so i guess that maybe...

The only other ski site I check out is midwestskier.com. Paul put a lot of work into it and it looks pretty damn good (funny that it is also blue like ns.com? lol). Its cool to see the most forgotton skiers representing.

 
I am partial to my own site,http://www.ozskier.com (Shameless plug), however I think that |s|a|s|films, hands down, has some of the best content on the web.

Other fav's, freeridezone.com, mammothpunks, freeskier, sundayriver.com and of course, NS.

I threw sundayriver.com in there, because I believe that they have one of the best balances between community, content, design and information for any eastern ski resort. And another bennie, it's consistantly updated.

to tell u the truth, my first true taste of a good newschool skiing site was ozskier.com. then came sasfilms and then came skiingmotion. that is how i came all the way to ns.com. pretty rad... hehehe.

Newschoolers is the best.

freeride zone I always used to go on, and I loved it, but it takes like 30 mintues to load for me now. (poor 28.8 modem...)

id have to go with the Freeze web site for pure comedy (the forum), and jibing.com was ok while it lasted. 604jibculture is also pretty good

bahaha skiingmotion.com was siick! but then sept. 11th happened and the site was never updated after that as an indirect consequence.
