Best skiing in the east

Me and my family are going on a big vacation and they told me to pick the mountain. So i need some help, what do you think is the best mountain is with in 5 or 6 hours by car from Albany.

 
hard choice...i ski at waterville but its not the biggest mountain,,,just has an ILLL park...one, if not the, best on the east. Stratton is good. dont go to sugarloaf or loon.

stratton if u want a good park/groomers, killington if u want an ok park/ a huge mountain, stowe if u want a not that good park/good glades, mt snow if u only want park... u make the choice

jay has amazing trees/chutes/general skiing but i've never been there when the park was up

jay for the skiing, cept no night life or other mtns nearby

sugarloaf has alot of good things, plus good area too i think.

killy has good nightlife and resorts cept ull be broke by the time u leave as its 77 bucks to ski there for 8 hrs

Okemo and killington are best for park mt snow has a really good park too jay peak is obviously the best. it compares to many western resorts pretty good park but they get soo much snow and have such nice steeps and glades you wont spend any time in the park. thats my review Ive skied every major resort in ma, nh and vermont soo thats what I think. I say go jay.

i live in albany too..

Jay with out a doubt is the jackson hole of the east..fucking gnar

Tops everything in the east and a lot out west..

50+ degree chutes,kick ass glades,cliffs,pow powdefinately my favorite resort in the east

dont waste your time at stratton or mount snow

Jay is fucking crazy and if you go hit the 25 footer in valhalla for me

 
dude i live up by jay right at the base. u gotta go to jay in the past 10 days weve gotton like 70 inches of fresh pow. its so sick and it doesn't get crowded. nice park with some sick bumps and trees

 
two choices jay peak or mad river both sick resorts with challenging terrain. i'd probably go with jay now tho its getting later into the season and mrg is probably hurtin

for vermont skiing, definitely okemo or statton, i really enjoyed okemo, and sratton was smaller but good too. MAd river glen is a must for east coast skiers. Try to plan going there after it snowed.

jay has rediculous glades, you will be skiing powpow...i havent skied theri faces but i hear really really good things, go there bring me with you

4 hrs from albany to jay

i'm leavin to stay in waterbury center tonight, gonna ski mad river tomorrow and jay the next day...sick

Québec city area has 3 great mountains, Mont-Ste-Anne good long and steep runs, Stoneham has the best park and Le massif has a great mountain with a great view on the st lawrence river and great terrain. no more than 6 hours away and a good party town.
