Does anyone know the best place for big mountain lift accessed skiing in the southern hemisphere. I want to maybe spend the summer there but not sure where is best.
I have no idea, but I've heard a lot about Las Lenas in the vids and mags the last few years... might be worth a check-out. It's either Chile or Argentina, I can't remember which.
New Zealand would definitely be good, too, if you're looking that direction... you can ask PhattTim about the skiing on that side of the world.

yah, apparently they have a chairlift that takes you to sick terrain called Marte, or something like that, and theres so much snow that they have to dig it out just so they can run it!
Las Lenas is sweet. i saw a sweet deal that included lodging, transportation and skiing for a little longer than week for about $1000. i'll try and find the website again...
