I'm a rail junky and i wanted to get the trouble makers but now i hear that they suck on rails. Whats the best (most durable, longets lasting) ski i can get for rails?

-wilson(bot/613)

it really depends on skiers....not what kindda skis u got

凸凸凸凸凸凸凸凸凸凸凸

Go ARMADA Go 4FRNT

凸凸凸凸凸凸凸凸凸凸凸

right now i'm on dynastar concepts, and they held up fine for two seasons, thats why i was looking at the trouble makers.

depends, how light are you, how aggressive are you. Fujatives are a good bet because they are made for jibbing and have extra thick edges but if you want tanks go with like last years mad trix or mad trix in general, they are crazy.

Chronics are being made with a bigger base and edge. I think that would help for rails.

4frnt is by far the most indestructible rail ski. But, i havent had anything bad happen with my fujatives yet. And i do alot of rails.

how bout everyone tells him what kind of skis they have and for him to get those...

to the people who say that mad trixx are indestructible, my brother broke his in one season, a huge 2 inch chunk right out of the base/edge. He is on the new ones now and they are holding up alright,

my PE;s have been going strong for 2 seasons now, but no matter what if you are gonna be doing rails, especially urban rails any ski is gonna get fucked up

Drop Cliffs not Bombs

i have 4frnt msp's

i slide a decent amount of rails

i weigh 190 lbs

they are indestructable

i went out shooting with jason ghikadis and simon thompson this winter and they were both on mad-trix and both of them took chunks out of their bases!

^Did they land on rocks? Because that's the only way i can see. Sharp, pointy rocks. However, I don't suggest them for jibbing. Too heavy. I do, however, suggest the Scratch FS.

all i had to do was read the headline of this forum to tell you this.....

skis dont make a person good on rails, the person makes the skis good on rails

so with that being said, by some elans, and practice switch 450 on to a triple kink rail

no shyte skis won't make you better at rails, but some skis will get f*cked up way faster on rails. I've heard from a bunch of people now that TMs break easy on rails, but I don't ride them personally. I have seen the Chronics, and they seem pretty diesel on rails. When Justin Gillern hit the mt. snow deck jib, they were pretty much fine at the end of the day: after taking out pine trees, cheese grater stairs, and a wooden deck.

Bottom line, I'd say people posting they're experience with their skis isn't bad at all. I have skogen's personally, and they've lasted pretty well for 2 seasons, but have finally died (not due to rails though)

diesel?? what the fuck?

despite what some of these people say, from many different people i have heard mad trix are awesome, and if you can still find last years they are SUPER cheap.

failing that, id say PEs, fujatives, 4frnts, and if you want to wait, the T-Hall pro models.

wow good observation! You are officaily the new ns genious. You can pick up your award after I shove it up your ass. - Phrosty

Best skis on rails? Easy. Someone elses.

and what the fuck is 'diesel'? That shit is just wrong.

In tractor pulls, a 'full pull' is the best you can get. Ahh, how sport mirrors life.

didnt some snowboard company make a board just for urban and rails?

someone told me dynastar might make a rail specific ski that cheaper?

im pretty sure that the madtrix hold up on rails, the PEs do too, but i dont think u'd want them JUST for rails

Line Chronics, go on to their site and look at the R & D link, it's a PDF that describes how freakin awesome Line can be

burton also makes a snowboard called the dominant slick, and it has no edges. some core company like 4frnt, armada, or line should make an edgeless ski for such shenanagins as sliding around on metal hand rails over stairs. not because copying snowboarding is cool, but because its a good idea.

160cm salomon 720 blue and reds, sickest things on rails center mounted i had awesome controla dn spin on those and butters were sick but i broke em so

im gunna say the new ar5 and tanner pro model. They have super thick edges and a vertical sidewall underfoot thats built for abuse but i havnet seen anyone witht htem so its just speculation.

(trust me, the '' things aren't actually there)

shop guys.....how hard would it be to totally remove the edges on a POS pair of skis you didn't need to use anymore?

not true...i see atomics a lot. like at big bear and sugar bowl i saw at least 4 kids riding them.
