Best ski video game?

For today’s world, shredsauce. If you want something nostalgic and very user-unfriendly for customization, check out jibbin+

Newschoolers love their shredsauce for sure, we love you forever malcolm, but we all seem to avoid talking about STEEP

Steep is a really fun and polished freeskiing game with huge, totally explorable terrain. The Olympics DLC with the Asia map was SICK, but the last Xgames DLC was a major letdown. High-ly recommend it, pun intended.

Yeah, I bought steep a while ago when it was 40$ because honestly 80 dollars is too much. It just started to frustrate me with all the DLC's I just felt like I had spent 40$ and got 1/3 of a game.

Steep is way too unrealosunr tho. And all of the tricks are auto determined, there is no style

I kinda agree. They updated the physics at some point to be more arcade-y and SSX-y, but I can still pull off plenty of slow, stylish tricks and lines, that's how I like to challenge myself in the game. I always wanted to make a STEEP edit to showcase what's possible in the game but I have no idea how to make an edit from PS4 footage.

I know the game/DLCs are pricey, but even the base game has so much epic content, just no parks unfortunately. That's where the Road to the Olympics DLC really shines. And it, like, doubles the amount of terrain; the game is HUGE.

Also to whoever said SNOW, that game crashed my PS4 several times before I could even hit a jump. Hard pass. Awful attempt at a skiing game.

Jonny Moseley Mad Trix for sure. Half the enjoyment of the game is the ultimate cringe intro with a Tanner Hall cameo where he looks like he is 14.

For those of us that grew up with Salomon 1080s the Freeze Magazine Gear Girl and Warren Miller, this game has a special nostalgia.

espn winter x games for Xbox. from 2002. Snowboard only, but the best multi axis control, trick recognition and a good feeling physics speed and gravity felt fun but real.

simply put, STEEP is a freeride game and Shredsauce is a freestyle game.

I lost faith in steep's freestyle aspect because:

-you stomp a rodeo 540 just from popping from flat

-The game gives you additional pop when at the lip of a jump so you overshoot everything, making disasters technically difficult.

-you can 540 onto a rail and land switch 50/50 no matter how thin it is

-septuple flips

-unlike shredsauce you can't make whatever trick you want, so no taps or backslides or handdrags or any of that

Steep is still a great game but only for creative lines and backcountry fun.

Steep is the best for backcountry skiing, Shredsauce obviously best for park but if you’re broke SNOW is a okay alternative for steep.

McMorris infinite air is cheaper and way more fun than steep

agreed, only reason I even attempt to open that game is to land a 200ft cliff after a triple backflip on a snowmobile

But jibbin edits were dope as hell

shredsauce for when u want something fun, scenic and in the mood for future spins/septuple backflips, but shredsauce for good realistic shit

steep on ps4 is truly spectacular for big mountain freeride. Park and rails leave a little to be desired but still super fun. also shoutout johnny mosely madtrix

Damn there are more ski games that I like than I thought... steep, ssx on tour, shredsauce, snow and gnarshmellow to name a few. Still waiting on the "skate 3" of skiing that gets everything right though

I was reading and saw no jiblife mention and got sad.

Glad somebody is talking about it. I preordered it. Should be here any day now. I'll just wait.
