what do you guys think are the best/worst local ski shops? i wasted alot of time this year going to (almost) every shop and figure next year I should just hit two or three at max.

i'd say NSSB and Comor are the best

oh yeah, Sport Chek's got great salespeople, they crack me up. they think they're big shots cuz they get training out of a manual and never ski. no idea how they get hired, probably something to obscene favours

anyways, so Comor gonna carry Armada?

 
Sport Chek is by far the worst ski shop.

However, that's pratically where all ski salesman in this area start. About 75% of everybody that works at Comor (and probably CanSki) are disgruntled ex-Sport Chek or Sport Mart employees.

You have to start somewhere.

Comor is good... NSSB is the best (i think) i have been a loyalist to NSSB for years and tehy give hella good prices; the problem with a chain store like comor is that the owner is never ther so you can't get as good prices.

Sport Chek isn't a Ski Shop... its a sports store that happens to sell skis... I think a ski shop has tune skis to be called a ski shop

The Glacier Shop Freeride at Whistler is guna be good this Year

First off, obviously our owner is not going to be in the stores selling things on the floor. He has a lot of other things to deal with. And what makes you think that an owner of a shop would give you a better deal anyway?

Secondly, Sport Chek does tune skis.

3? i can think of SnowCovers, WestSide Sport&ski, Comor, NSSB, Cypress Mountain Sports, Destination Ski, Swiss Sport Haus, Skyline, sport chek, sport mart in the greater vancouver area

 
i think westside ski and board is shuting down. their staff wasn't too good either, the ski sale guy didn't know what the Public Enemies were.

It doesn't matter if you win or loose. It's making fun of the little fat kid that comes in last, that counts.

 
westside is having a closing out sale down on W.4th.

Helly Hansen store was looking pretty good when I was in there today... Comor is good too.

 
north shore is the best by far they have all the dope twins just not always on racks ask their friendly staff and theyll grab it for you COMOR SUCKS FAT BALLS so does snowcovers only skis you find in snowcovers are fuckin 210 vokl downhillers and sport mart isnt a ski store what the fuck
