Best ski shop

US outdoor store all the way, last time i was there they helped me with pants jacket and finding a helmet that i wanted

legit store

^ haha which reminds me last summer the first tim e i went there i was looking for some cheep gloves so they sent me to the sale area and it was right after the season ended and literally i got lost in the room with everything on sale, crazy deals there

yeah, us outdoor. plus the ass hole who used to work in the boot department is gone now. but he left like a year ago. but yeah. US

usoutdoor store best for everything including bindings. i sometimes go to ski chalet because it is literally 2 minutes away. but not anymore after they mounted my bindings on my lizzies wrong twice. fucking pissed.

My friend really likes the usoutdoor store....but they are always tards with me. I called them last week about boot fitting and binding mounting, I won't even get into the conversation about the boot fitting but when I asked whether they could mount my 4frnt/vist bindings the guy on the phone says:

"yeah sure no problem"

me: "are you sure about that?"

shopguy: "yeah, why would that be a problem?"

me: "well, when I called last spring to see if your shop would mount my 4frnts they said they couldnt because they didn't have the jig"

shopguy: "i'm sure it's no problem, go ahead and bring your skis in"

me: "well if you don't have the jig I don't think you guys will mount them by hand for me"

shopguy: "you want to talk to the tech?"

me: "yes, definitely"

techguy: "hey man, whats up?"

me: "can you guys mount my 4frnt bindings?"

techguy: "nope, we don't have the jig for those"

me: " thanks man, just wanted to check"

I recommend Hillcrest ski and sport out in gresham, conveniently located on the way to the mountain from portland.

And like the tech guy at Hillcrest says about usoutdoor and others: "they need to grow a sack"

thats a really funny story dude. haha. but yeah, the guys at ski chalet tryed to sell me shit boots cuz they were out of their park boots. he said a pair would hold up in the park, i rode them one day and just went right through them on everylanding and had no control. but they were rad about helping me find new ones. kinda, but they just wanted to sell something.

Wow, called Hillcrest and USoutdoor and they both charge $49.95 for mounting...   fuck that, I'd rather do it myself.

make sure you mark your skis, no shop in hood river can mount skis properly without them being marked

make sure to mark the graphics so that they line up

I've always gone to Ski Chalet. They have always mounted my skis where I want without any problems. They messed up mounting once, which caused my skis to break (unfilled hole - water in core), but I called them up and they bought me new skis.

Which one do you work at?

I've never had a real bad mount yet, the closest thing was when Next Adventure put one of the cushioning pads on my look jibs upside down, but that's about it.

Wow, went to REI and they tried to charge me a total of $65 to mount my skis. $45 for the mount, $10 to remove them from my old skis, and $10 to "clean" my bindings because they were not new. For that amount of money i could just buy a drill and do it myself. sad, very sad.

this is ridiculous, I worked at one of the most reputable shops in the region (Sturtevants) it one far west ski shop of the year two years in a row. We only charged $30 for a mount no matter what the details

oh are you at wwu.. i'm thinkin bout transferring there.  arenyways. ya us outdoor has a huge selection but its expensive.  Like someone said.. its like bein in a candy shop.. i go in there on a pretty regular basis just to look at skis and think about new things i "need". ha
