Best ski movie of all time.

Pretty disappointed in the lack of appreciation of older movies fron 2001-2006, IMO the golden age of freeskiing.

In no.particular order

Stereotype

Whiteshine

1242

Ski movie 3

Long story short

Royalty

Teddy bear crisis

Just a note about exact science...i woukd put that as plehouses 4th best film. Everyrhing was shot at mammoth or superpark 5. While the editing is good and phil b and mikael were sick, it doesnt compare to redtape, skimatic, or whiteshine.

i'm mostly just disappointed that 1242 hasn't been mentioned much. but yeah, when they do the demographics stuff NS likes to brag that "it totally isn't just 12 year olds on here!" but threads like this show that the majority of posters are definitely young. oh, partly cloudy is the best ski movie of all time? go get me a fuckin juice box

It's actually been mentioned the most (well, tied with Mutiny). I did a quick count, and these are the top numbers.

Mutiny 8

Sessions 1242 8

EDIAS 7

Ski Movie Three 7

Teddy Bear Crisis 6

Idea 5

Into the Mind 5

Refresh 5

Supervention 5

Believe 4

Long Story Short 4

Weight 4

I think its just fresh in everybody's minds. I don't think you could tell a classic until it's at least 2 or 3 years old. Same thing with music. Newer albums are always more popular, at first, but you have to wait and see which will stand the test of time

ha, interesting. maybe i should shut up, it turns out

@snochainz: oh yeah, i def agree, but i noticed a lot more EDIAS (don't get me wrong, great flick) etc than older ones like happy dayz and stuff. though i guess that's just me being biased toward when i was at my most impressionable skiing-wise

@static: i loved wicked and watched it a million times but i watched it again recently and it doesnt hold up nearly as well as many others IMO

Only watched Everyday is a saturday the other day. Holy fucking shit. It gets me that keen to ski. Every shot is perfect and the vibe is off chops.
