Got Yoohoo?

CSU isn't 30 minutes from crested butte. isn't there some uni. near whistler? that'd be sweet.

Colorado State is about 4.5hrs from the butte, 2hrs from loveland. Western State is about 1/2 hr from the butte. University of salt lake or something is really close to Alta and shit. MSU bozeman is really close to I think Big Sky. I chose CSU, kinda far away from summit county but the drive doesnt really bother me and I really like the school.

I'm at University of Denver and it rocks. 1-2 hours to Breck and a few other places. Wasted State is really close to Crested Butte but there's still a reason it's got it's name. Me and my roommate just hungout with his dad and about 6 of his friends who graduated from WS in the 70s....I honestly have no idea how any of them got degrees after some of the stories they told.

Cheers

Yea the University of British Colubia is close to Whistler. University of Sierra Nevada is on Tahoe too. Western Washington is close to like all the Washington places

who all is applying to college right now? iam, and the only applications that im sending in are in colorado baby, yeah!

western is pretty phat, cu and csu are all big universityes that think they are hot shit. If you wanna go to school with 20,000 littel rich preppy kids go to cu or csu. but if you wanna go to a decent school with ppl that r into the same stuff as you go to western or cmc. cmc is only 2 years though. As for DU who the fuck wants to live in denver, shit i don't even wanna go home for a weekend back to denver, its a total shit hole. ft lewis is good to, close to durango mntn.

yeh, i'm only applying to CU-Boulder and Western. A few teachers told me i could get into Syracuse but im fairly poor and one year at Syracuse can pay for over three at Boulder. meh, CU's still got a good school of j.

Western is tuff, I'm here right now. Baker is about 1 hour away, but they have no snow so that is gay.

Western Militia for sure

uvm is the best in the east. jay peak, smuggs, mad river glen, stowe, and bolton all within and hour, but you're going to pay 32 grand to go there

Phrosty, I sure as hell want to live in Denver adn that's why I'm here now. I remember you complaining about living here before, I'm not quite sure how you can't like this place. What more do you want? Cool city, mountains close by, nice people. As for VT - UVM, St. Mikes, (both in Burlington). And then there's Lyndon state and Johnson state, two schools that may be the east's equivalent of Wasted State. Oh yeah, and in NH - Plymouth State.

Cheers

no offense, but generally cmc, fort lewis, and western are for dumb(er) kids compared to cu and csu. actually it depends on what you want to be after college. i applied to mines and cu cause i want to do engineering and ski lots, but go wherever you want to go, not cause someone tells you to go there.

i agree with lizzie (i meant Western State), it's actually kind of my safety school. Damn, Western Washington looks like the shit tho, such a pretty campus. the only reason i dont apply is because my counselor said that they had close to zero out of state financial support.

FLC in Durango... Purg is about 25 min away. Silverton is about an hour away and T-ride and Wolf Creek are about 1:30 away

anyone know what CU is like for out of state financial aid? or do they have any scholarships for white males? haha

the magazine is called 'POWDER' cool! - my stupid non-skiing friend

Um skifreak is wrong Montana State not university of Bozeman and its 15 mins to Bridger Bowl and 45 min to Big Sky i go to MSU its pretty sick no park at Bridger, a little one at Big Sky but both places have sweet as big mountain riding and backcountry hits. MSU was in the Freeze about ski colleges. Plus its not that hard to get into MSU hell they excepted me. Most people you talk to around here say they came for the skiing or snowboarding so lots of people to meet and go skiing. Bozeman is a sweet ass ski town.

When a door says private dont you just wanna walk in anyways

what about colleges in washingtom?

i love CU, everyone can find a way to pay for it for a coule years then get in-state tuition like me and you're set. Boulder has got to be the best college town near ski areas, plus a kick ass football team.

Head injuries suck!

scecgs redlands winter school, 11 weeks a year, ski 5/7 days a week, for forms 4-11. Its was da bomb.

ever wonder if iliterate people get the full effect of alphabet soup???

lyndon state is a good ski college for the east. 10 minutes from burke, which is waay underrated, and 45 mins from jay peak. has ski resort management for a major too.

Haha, Blindfaith mentioned Johnson State. I went there for a semester. Its a tiny little school in the middle of nowhere Vermont. They do have their own terrain park though. Crap, but at least its something.

Sierra Nevada college, alpine, squaw, northstar within a 30 min drive. Plus you can arrange your classes for 2 days a week without a problem, I ski easily 150 days a year, if your looking for a college to get a good education, you might want to think about another college. But fuck it, 90% of your college education is getting a fucking diploma not where you get it from anyway

Gogebic Community College. All I need to say is SKI AREA MANAGMENT. Thats what makes it such a good school. Its Located in Ironwood, MI so yeah its in the midwest but you learn everything there. From Grooming, Snowmaking and everything else you need to know about the Business. Plus there is 4 Ski Area's with in 15 mins of the College and the College has there own Hill Mt. Zion which is a lab for all the class's. If your intrested in check it out.
