Best ski college in america

Just wondering what you guys think about the best place to go to college and have a great time skiing as well. Kinda like what ski town is the best but for colleges.

Let me know what you guys think

No a single one of these answers in correct. Try Montana State, University of Utah, UC Boulder, Sierra Nevada university, or other schools located in Colorado, Utah, Montana, northern Cali, Washington, or Oregon
 
Michigan Tech. They have their own hill (Mont Ripley) and you get a free season pass if you're a student. Also Mt. Bohemia is only like an hour away from campus
 
Western State is pretty sweet. Never actually went to classes there, was just hooking up with somebody going there. Crested Butte is a dope mountain. Not a crazy park but they do have a couple smaller parks. But they have some sick terrain. Cool town as well. Also gunnison isn't a bad spot either.

U of U seems to always be up in these threads although I've never been there.
 
I would think it has to be Utah. Maybe the season pass isn't the cheapest, but you have by far the most variety and best skiing and close by. CU sucks--you have to drive quite a while to go ski. That works for skiing--if you intend to drop/fail out of school.

I like the Michigan Tech idea, but can't say it's the ideal place for a guy to go to school. Bozeman perhaps.

As someone who goes to tech I can agree. Houghton/Hancock area is awesome at All times of the year. You have copper harbor that has some of the top mountain biking trails. You have Mount Bohemia, the steepest and deepest powder in the region 40 minutes away. Ripley is small but has a solid park every year, is free for students, and is only 5 minutes away. The vibes in the area are awesome; everyone is super outdoor oriented. The drinking culture is great. Tons of waterfalls to jump off of and hiking spots.

Also tech has like a 96% job placement rate and one of the largest career fairs in the country if your looking to do something besides skiing after college.

And no women, but considering your alternative options to live in a ski town--there are no women in your future if you devote your life to skiing. OP needs to clarify what makes a good ski college--ability to rock off some runs every day easily or mountains cause everybody says CU for skiing but you could only go on weekends unless you had a tuesday or thursday off, and skiing in Colorado on weekends suuucks.

This....never understood it at all. Half the price of most other ski colleges and within an hour of like 10 resorts. Multiple of which you could argue to be up there for best in the nation.

True. Figured as much. Ski life keeps getting harder.

I'll probably try and meet some of the park guys up there and try and trade some beers.

This. That's what I plan to do. Working remote sounds like the ultimate combination of the ski bum lifestyle and actually having some kind of a career
