Hi guys,

i am about to buy a new ski boot, which i already made my mind at which boot, nonetheless i did a test at home to find my foot arch and based on the test i did looks like i am medium to high arch, which comes to my mind every start of the season in the first week i had loots of pain on my under foot almost crying pain i guess after a week until my muscle was trained and then i had relief.

So with my findings i wan't to buy best insoles maybe medium which i think will help me a loot. So with that said i would like your opinion and experience, so far i have read about SIDAS , Sole and some other brands.

Just fyi for those who will intend to go to the store and custom fit my insoles, i dont have that option since i live in Kosova, and there is no option not even in the region like Albania, Serbia, Croatia, Greece to go a get custom insoles.

Please help so i can order to my brother in NY.

cheers and thanks

Well if you can't get custom you really don't have many options. They are now premise insoles which will really support a mid to high arch. Most ready made are way to low to give any real support. Where do you normally ski? Most resorts will have at least one decent ski shop.

In terms if custom I believe sodas make the best option, but they will only ever be as good as the person making them. I used to remould more foot eds then I made. People often can in with footbeds but out of 200 last season only 4 were at a standard that I considered that they did not new remoulding. Super feet are ok but I personally don't agree with there methodology of only supporting the rear part of the foot. I had many discussions with jeff who is the guy who develops they winter footbeds and although he is an awsome guy with plenty of knowledge I personally don't believe tht super feet are optimum for free style use. Speed racing line DH yes but freestyle is very differnt. From what I have seen sole are ok but from what I have seen do not offer the same option in terms if stabilising as sidas.

If you really have no other option the off the shelf go sidas but really I can garentee you they won't be that good.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Wow auto correct sucks. Premise should be premade, sodas should be sidas hopefully that the only mistakes.

I wish ns would get an edit post feature already.

Mountain i ski all winter long follow the link... also thank you for the information.... The Resort is in transition right now new Owners are looking to buy and invest big, we are looking forward to that.

Hopefully with that new stores, ski shops etc... will open. All the gear we buy with friends is during the summer time which we order online.

On the pictures is me with my friends... all pictures are taken by Beni the Snownjeri association which i am part off.

As for the insoles ill keep waiting for other to comment and read online hopefully will help at least some %.....

Looks like a cool little resort.

As far as your footbeds go though like I said your best bet if you really can't get custom then have a look at these http://www.sidassport.com/en/our-products/winter-sports/winter-insoles-212-2.html

It's basically the same as a custom footbed other then it's not molded to your foot and its not stabilised. But it will still be much better then those half cap premades like the sidas volcanos or super feet. You can even get those ones I posted molded, so if you ever get chance to get them customised you will just need to pay for the stabilisation.
