Best ski boot for absorbing impacts

i fractured my tibia (shinbone) about a month ago now, and when i get my cast off and am ready to ski the doctor said i would be ok for jumps and rails as long as i dont case much, or take any huge impacts. i was looking for some new ski boots and heard that some of the recent freestyle ones had some technology that helped absorb a little bit of the impact, are there many of these, and are there any that are decently priced? thanks

SPK's are designed to take hard impacts with a shock absorber in the sole of the boot. The kaos is about 400 candian and the kreation is 300 can.

The fat under your heels does way more for shock absorbsion than any rubber in a boot. Get some good footbeds mades o it works how it should and you're set.

i dont really see how booster straps would help in the way that boots with shock absorbers would. hes talking about the vertical force applied by an impact, not shinbang caused by the impact, or thats what i got out of what he said.

Often boots that claim they have shock absorbers just have soft shit in the stock footbed, so once you replace them with custom footbeds then there goes your shock absorbtion

Keep that in mind when buying boots because they have a 'shock absorber'

Yah dude Salomon SPKs Sammy Carlson swears he hasn't got shin bang once with since he has been riding them for the past several years so thats saying somthing....

i like the new lange banshee, full vibram sole, plus all the shock absorption you see from everyone else. the nordica ignitons are nice too. go find out what fits your foot the best and see if theres a freestyle version of it.

i just bought a pair of tecnica agent 110s... i love em. they have some shock absorption in the tongue of the liner, the rear of the liner, and the boot board. check em out!
