What do you guys think is the best ski area on the continent? I definately think whistler but mammoth is very close behind. In whistler they obvioulsy have one of the coolest villages to massive mountains great parks and summer skiing and tons of stuf to do. THey have bad weather and not always the greatest snow. Mammoth seems to open up real ealry and get a good park and pipe right away. They seem more dedicated to maintaing and building bigger and better hits. They have much nicer weather and i am pretty sure they get more snow. In the midwest i think tyrol wins. I dont know about the east cause I dont ski there though

I think whistler is the best overall. As for just the US, alta is fucking amazing for powder.

just wait for jumbo and revelstoke to open.

one is going to be a full year ski resort with 2300 ft of summer vert and 5500 in winter, with the highest elevation being 11,155 feet.

the other gets 60-80 feet of snow a year and the most vertical in north america

i think in 10 years, whistler will not be the industry leader.

Whistler & Blackcomb for the sheer variety. You could spend like a week there and never ski the same runs twice (Runs back to the chairs excluded obviously). The snow is often amazing with a hugely friendly staff. Ski patrol is generally friendly and helpful. The parks are always in great condition and fairly large.

The only thing that some people don't like is buying a separate pass for the Highest level terrain park but if it keeps away the lawsuits I don't mind!
