Best shop in Toronto to get skis mounted

Hey guys,

I picked up a new/unused/unmounted pair of K2 Fujatives 179cm from 2007. I used to have these back when they were new, but in 159cm. I've since sold those to a friend.

Now that I have the proper size ski, I'm looking for a good place to mount my Mojo15 binders to them.

This is going to be a straight up butter & park ski. I want these puppies mounted dead centre and edges detuned.

Where's a good spot to get them mounted and detuned?

Places I know that do tech work:

Sport Check (eaton centre)

Sporting life on yonge

Sign of the skier on yonge

elsewhere?

BTW: I live downtown and dont have a vehicle so I'll be TTC'ing my shit to a shop.

dont go to sportcheck. youll have the greatest chance of a screw up there. the sign and sporting life are legit though from my experience. im not even sure if shops detune edges though. most people do it by them selves.

I used to live downtown and got my shit done at Sign of the Skier. The tech when I was there (early last winter) was a young guy who skied a lot of park. I brought in a pair of JJs and he mounted them exactly where I wanted. It's a short walk south from a subway station, maybe a 10 minute walk. I think it was Lawerence station, but I cant remember exactly. Just give them a ring. They were able to rush me through when they were super busy because I had to leave the next day.

Don't go to Sportcheck.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I'll hit up the sign since I've been pleased with that store in the past and let u guys know how things worked out.

remember to clarify EXACTLY where you want them mounted. not to treat you like an idiot but in case u dont know, if you want them on the core centre, which is what they may assume by you saying centered, core centre is not necesarrily on the center of the ski. if you want it dead centre on the ski, ask for true centre and if they dont know what it is, expalin. also shops do NOT detune edges because if they fuck up...well yeah you get my drift

i had my watch lifes mounted at skiis and biikes at the toronto location on don mills north of eglinton. no problems.

as a heads up if you are anywhere more east (whitby, oshawa, ajax, etc) hit up mount kirby.
the tech there is goose and he can mount anything onto anything. i have trusted him with all of my mounts (4 times) and have never had a problem. real cool guy to talk to as well.

^ Mt kirby skis and boards mounted my px12's on my Blends fine but messed up my old MSP's with mojo 11's real bad (the bindings were "mounted" but they sat a full cm off the ski (all 4 pieces). Not sure how the hell they let that leave the shop but the skis went from being on their second mount to their third because of that fuck up...

As everyone stated above though...regard;ess of where you go make sure you CLEARLY mark where you want your skis mounted (draw a line on the skis where you want your midsole if you have too :P).

Sporting Life on Yonge is really legit, theyve never screwed up anything for me. Go when its not a busy time of the year, that place can get pretty nuts sometimes.

are u serious? holly fuck. i can almost garuntee it wasnt goose who touched em...do u know who put their hands on them?

Just dropped off a pair of skis to get mounted at sign of a skier just south of lawrence. Had to specify i didnt want a sticker put on my ski, and they said they could d-tune the underfoot, and they would order wide breaks because my previous ones were not big enough. Seem to know what they are doing.
