last year near the end of the season my salomon threats base started to rip out so they told me to finish up the year with them and then they would send me any one of their 2010 skis. So i mostly ski rails and was wondering what their best 2010 ski for rails Thanks

i would say the dumont. its what ive been riding and it stands up to rails pretty good. its similar to the suspect which i have ridden alot as well and never had issues with. but id still go dumonts.

I've had the 1080 foils there an old ski but there is no cracks or anything really wrong with them and I've used these for almost every thing a vary durable ski.

I don't know what the ski they have thats called "N the Knight" is yet, but maybe it's a park ski without edge armor? It has the same graphic as the lord, but a size similar to the park skis... I made a thread about it awhile ago but nobody knew.

Sorry if i read it wrong, but it came off to me you were saying that you broke your threats, and salomon said they would warranty them for you? and now you are wondering which of their skis is best for you to get? so are you under the impression that you will have the choise? if so, you do not. very rarely will you get a better ski, this only happens when they have none of the ski you had in stock, and give you something else. but this is rare because like you experienced, they told you to wait for this season because they did not have any other threats in stock, and will just give you this years.

but i may have read it wrong..?

10th anniversary edition 1080's. They were the same as the 07 and 08 Dumonts. I don't think they are making them next year though. Go with Dumonts though, probably your best bet out of the crop.

My friend broke his flyers the 08 season and he got Dumonts this year. He had to pay a hundred dollars or so because it is a better ski but he still got a good deal. He also had connections with a rep though.

And I see that someone posted about Line while I was posting and I would say anything by Line is good. I have never had bad experiences with Line. I was real hard on my 1260's (such as skiing over the driveway) and I had no edge cracks or anything. I have had 1260's, Invaders, and Chronics and I have never had any issues.

It can happen to any ski. Line put the afterbang through hell and back. I don't think this happens often

That far forward... what? They are symmetrical, hence center mounting. Mounting anywhere but center on a symmetrical ski would be completely pointless.

ROCKERS.

fat is good.

But serously, don't get suspects OR DUMONTS if you do lots of rails(they are fine if you don't do many though)

READ: for some reason people are saying Dumonts are fine in this thread. Many people on here read "suspects are bad" and re post it in every thread like this. What people apparently don't understand is that the "edge armour" suspects have actually just makes any edge damage spread out, and Dumonts have "double edge armour" which simply means the damage is going to possibly be even worse.

DUMONTS ARE SUSPECTS WITH (worse) EXTRA EDGE ARMOUR AND A BETTER GRAPHIC.

you sound to me just like another person that read 'suspects are bad". because that was not a very sensible post
