Best resort near by denver???

you have to drive like 2 or 3 hours from denver to get to a ski mtn. id just got to SLC or whistler ... silverton is too far away.

go touring Berthoud Pass.

If I had to go somewhere in the front range, and money wasn't an issue, I would go to Vail. best mix of terrain and park. Nice weather and snow then break, some cool steep lines if you know where to go, and there is always powder in the trees. Just go exploring. On powder days it is one of the best resort to be at.

In all the west coast...there are tons. Utah is hard to beat though. Alta/Snowbird are awesome. Snowbasin has dope terrain and no crowds.

Thinking about this all you should be more specific, like park, parties, town, terrain, etc, because they all are good at different things...

drive to crsted butte for some good big mountain, its not close but cool, or like ^ he said berthod, or breck if your a park rat.

most resorts are 1.5 or less hours, depending on how fast you drive, from denver. breck, keystone, vail, copper, winterpark, abasin. theres a lot of good ones

dude wat are you talking about! i live an hour south of denver and get to most resorts in summit, or vail in 2 and a half hours...

Eldora is on the front range and tho its a little piece of shit to us spoiled CO skiers, it seems like paradise to someone from the east side.

ne way, the best resort 'close' to denver is definetly vail, but for practicallity, winter park/jane no q.

steamboat is the closet, 'far', resort if that makes ne sense at all

yeah from fort collins we can get to loveland in about 1 hour 30 min's and thats going through denver, leaving from denver would take about an hour to get to places like copper and stuff.

no not really, it doesn't snow that much. as you drive to the ski areas you'll probably wonder where all the snow is.

2-3 hours...uh no...more like an hour or a little more. Vail is officially 100 miles from Denver. I know this, because I was there today and there was a big sign that said so. All the other resorts along I-70 besides Beaver Creek are closer. Loveland, A Basin, Keystone, Breck and Copper aren't that far at all. You can get to Keystone from Denver in a hour if you drive fast enough, an hour and a half tops if weather is good. DIA is a little east of the city, but it still doesn't add that much to the trip. SLC resorts are closer though- like literally 45 minutes from the airport, but I like living in CO, it works just fine for me.

Yeah, I was thinking bout lodging at the resort, but its gonna be too much money. I have a place to stay in colorado springs, so I'm thinking of driving back and forth to prob. keystone, breck, abasin since its the closest. Trying to set something up my winter break.

don't worry about eldora. Hes just messing with you.....

Basically it is a crappy little area 30 minutes outside of Boulder. It is nice becuase....it is only 30 minutes outside of Boulder. Other than that it sucks.
