For park I would have to go with Mayrhofen, awesome kicker line and a good mix of rails and boxes, pipe sucks. And what makes it the best park for me is the short chairlift which is the same length as the park so you can get a lot of laps in. Not that many good urban spots though.

during the normal season you want to look into Laax, Avoriaz, Kitzsteinhorn.. maybe Mayrhofen.
Avoriaz will get you a very non-traditional set up with 7 parks of which 2 incredible kicker parks (Superpark Les Crosets and the pro park in Avoriaz), The Stash, and a bunch of intermediate parks all over the vast lift-linked area. Plus the resort town is car-free and always buried in snow, with lots of jibbable urban features.. The downside is that shaping is done a-la-francaise, so the parks are not always in perfect conditions.
Laax is more similar to US resorts, with 3 parks: pro line with perfect kickers and some large features, intermediate park with a ton of jibs and a halfpipe, and a beginner park. In set up it's very similar to Park City. There is some urban to do around the 3 resort towns, of which some are featured in ski and snowboard movies.
Spring time you want to be in Kaunertal (May) and Schnalstal (mid June - mid July).

Laax is awesome, i love that place. Town isnt GREAT, but the skiing makes up for that. Good pipe, Park, Rails, always changing it up aswell
Les 2 Alpes is good also, they lost they're head shaper this year so not sure whats going to happen to the park this winter, its awesome in summer though,
Iv heard alot of good things about Mayrhofen aswell

in my opinion les 2 alpes i havent been to laax but really want to go looks pritty sick

i dare to add to those already mentioned Livigno, in winter-spring has a sick set up since the days when they held there European Opens (in italy, a part the aforementioned Schnalstal, Seiser Alm has some sick rails lines)...
Dachstein gletscher, very good setup in late spring and autumn; Kuthai and the whole Innsbruck area
Garmisch was the park to go in may, now maybe more Kaunertal
Saas Fee is pretty big

few days ago i read some complaints about the declining number of good and well maintened half pipes in the us: by your perception are we dealing with the same"problem" in europe as well?
imho and for my narrow experience, we do and it's happening for the same reasons: making a pipe and running it with some decent maintainace is quite more expensive than having a snowpark, which is btw used by a larger number of skiers/snowboarders (as long pipe riding requires some more technical skills and it's not as "immediate" as park riding)

ive been to laax, the snow sucked but i really wasnt impressed. it was really huge and wide open, like if breckenridge had no trees at all
