Chance is probably the hottest mainstream rapper rn but Uzi and Yachty are on the come up. And Kevin Gates doesn't get the recognition he deserves either. He's already dropped 2 albums this year with multiple bangers on each.

Uzi fuckin sucks, I doubt Yachty will have the longevity to last longer than maybe a couple more banger tapes and a decent debut album. You can only get so far rapping over the same FL Studio beats everyone else is on.

Kevin Gates is tite tho.

Uzi is hit or miss with me and I can only vibe with him depending on what mood I'm in. And to add to what you said about Yachty, I agree. I don't think his career will last long because he doesn't have any real talent. His shit should be trash but it somehow sounds good, it's weird asf.
 
Jonwayne used to make analog music that sounded a little nerdy, then he ditched it and picked up rapping and he's on the come up.

Defintely the best album to come out so far this year. I haven't liked every song on an album in a really long time but 3001 changed that for me. I do believe that Schoolboy Q's album will take my number 1 spot next month though just because I really love his style.
 
Anyone associated with Pro Era I'm a fan of. Cousin Stizz always gets me hyped, but most of his lyrics are drugs and money etc... AK the savior (apart of The Underachievers) has dropped some pretty dope stuff lately that I'd advise you to check out on soundcloud.

Been a fan of Russ for a while now. He produces his own beats, has great lyrics and flow, all that good stuff.

I like who dat, but nothing else. Lyrics are a little wack but the way to song flows is killer. I really don't care about rap music anymore though, most of it is pretty stale and boring.
