someone posted this in the thinker's cult, i thought it sums up a lot.

i think i have sort of an idea what is meant by that but i might be missing the main point of it all since i don't see the greatness of this quote
 
it is saying that we will destroy ourselves through our violence agaisnt each other causing us to beome very primal and fight with caveman-like weapons. and can i get an invite to this cult? i think alot.
 
einstein was solving a bunch of brilliant physics stuff during WW2 and at the same time other physicists were creating atomic bombs, weapons of mass murder, etc. So what this quote is saying is that the weapons are getting so bad that the next time the world goes to war, were going to kill civilization and then fight with sticks and stones instead of bombs and guns (were killing ourselves).
 
ok, i thought the exact same thing but i thought maybe there was a metaphorical meaning as well because i still don't see why this quote it so good but i guess there isn't. nevermind then
 
Well if that is truly the message I have to disagree because WW4 will probably consist of wiping all life off of planet earth (with the exception of cockroachs)

no being a nerd is fine, but these kids are super dorks, they sit on there computers all day playing war fighting games, and talk about WoW, and can barley function around a female
 
So? If thats how they want to live their lives then so be it. Maybe they'll find a super dork female and have super dork children with her? Theres a woman for everybody.

Einstein helped create these bombs as well. It's saying we're going to blow each other up and basically civilization will restart with primitive tools and such, but war will still exist unless we stop it now.
 
Quick explanation: WW3 will be fought with nuclear weapons, thus destroying mankind. This means that when man comes around again and has another world war, they will start from scratch and, in such a case, will not have weapons beyond sticks and stones.

and thats not very complicated. wwIII will destroy so much, that IV will be so bad that technology will be reduced to stone aged tools.

its metaphorical, but the termoil in the world in that era was pretty intense. not hard to imagine comparing the destructive capabilities of I and II
 
my 8th grade teacher had this quote posted on the chalk board the whole year, and we talked about it quite often. It makes alot of sense

Albert Einstein played a key role in the development of the atomic bomb. Maybe now 60 years after it was created you might realize its potential. Just think about that
