I know there are many more, but from what i have seen these two are the best...

yeah i like both too, poor boys does some sick shit in the terrain park, and in the back country amnd big mountian, like pep skiing backwards...

im really, really looking forward to what 2track/pléhouse are gonna do together this coming year...should be super good. anyways...

level 1 seriously makes the most of what they have...ie budget, east coast conditions, lesser known riders etc.

poorboyz have all the top riders and locations.

which leads me to believe that L1P will kill it in the coming years, once all their riders totally step it up, and when they have more chances to film all around.

without Poorboyz, personally, i don't think the freeski movement would be HALF as productive as it is now, i mean, how come Suddenly after Propaganda/Happydayz all these new ski movie companies came out? What ever way you answer that question, Johnny Decesare has helped this movment PERIOD. Thats why i like giving Johnny the business of buying his movies, and plus i don't find that bogger difference between the ski movie compaines, all the difference is is music... thats what i think anyway.

i like msp. its too bad kids are too centered on playing around in the park to recognize how sick real skiing is. true guys like tanner and cr and pep are starting to go into the bc, but they'll never come close to guys like seth, conk, hugo harrison, or nobis. for an east coaster i get so stoked to see people just ripping up huuuge mountains like that. plus msp has sick scenic shots. theres just so much more to skiing than whats shown in most movies.

pbp by far. they, along with msp and tgr, changed ski movies forever. and pbp's movies are so well done, great footage, soundtrack, and cinematography. level 1 is pretty cool, but i mean, forward is basically a cheaper version of rfa. in a few years when level 1 has more time to develop we'll see, but for now it's pbp.

 
I was kinda disappointed by PleHouse, not the footage the editing.

poor boyz, but match stick puts the most money into their films, and jonny has gotten backrupt many times making poorboyz films and i like level1productions too.

wow i was about to go into a 'you can't compare the two, blah blah blah' but this post is 'which do you like better' and even at that i was almost going to make a point to say 'they make totally different films' well they don't....anyways with my near stupidity out of the way i'd say that Josh is really good at letting his footage do the talking, just synchronizing the big hits with the music and the mellow stuff with the beats...very cool, Johnny and the Poorboyz (hey they could start a band) took a new direction with RFA and made a bunch of the segments heavily edited in different ways, making the film almost like a visual art gallery. bottom line: i like them both a lot, they are starting to diverge so thats good too

both of them suck. poorboyz has shitty music and slows down there footy waaay too much. level 1 also.. sucks. just because.

 
the only problem i had with forward was hibberts all crash section and the nappy roots. other than that L1P holds it down.

PBP did good with the oakley vid and some others, but RFA was such garbage. just a bunch of clips thrown togather to some bad music. 1242 wasa real good though

I've got to go with matchstick. they have the most variety in their films and show all aspects of skiing at the highest level. everythingfrom seth to hugo to pep and pollard. now if only they can get sage to come film for them.

 
stuhalverson: how about you go back and watch henriks part, pollard, candide, steele, abma, crighton, and especially Bellangers part in RFA and tell me its just 'clips thrown together'....yeah the parts with Red Dragon, Lap Dance, and Dancing with Myself were shitty but the rest of the movie was art man

rob, someone said 2track becuase they merged with plehouse, plehouse did amazing last year and made a supppper sick flick, and now if you combine the best qualities of each you have a pretty nasty force to reckon with in the production industry, also WWW.THEORY-3.COM BREATHE AND STOP WOWOWOWOWOOWOW, breathe and stop will break any standards for low budget independent films, this movie will knock anyones socks off and onto there neibours feet......
