Looking to get some new park poles any suggestions in types and lengths? I'm looking at some line poles rn

They are literally just metal sticks. It really doesn't matter man. You can usually find some used ones for $5.

i personally prefer 50" aluminum ones.

get any kind but take off the grips (u just rip them off) then cut them down to about your hips then put the grips back on

just get the cheapest pair you can find dude...

or pinch a pair of rentals.

Actually this might even be better advice. Just walk into any rental place at the mtn and say "i forgot to get poles"

go outside the rental loge at any hill and snag a gaper'S sticks.

Yo stealing ain't cool guys.

I may be biased, but check out panda poles. They are really sweet and a super high quality pole.

Yeah...unless you're a complete jackass, don't do any of these things. Stealing ski gear, no matter how cheap or inconsequential, is a really scummy thing to do. You could go to a shop and ask if they have any old or mismatched poles they'd be happy to give away or sell for cheap, or go dumpster diving until you found something that works if you really can't spare the money for a pair of poles.

My opinion is poles don't really matter as long as they're the right length, or you're really into touring and want something adjustable for the way up.

no poles are the best poles

But really, I dont break my fucking thumb every time I fall if I dont have poles which is super nice considering I feel the early stages of arthritis in those motherfuckers.

(P.S. I'm definitely too young for arthritis)

If you hurt your thumb everytime you eat it with poles, then you're probably putting the strap on wrong. Hand all the way through then thumb on top.

LINE pollard's paintbrush poles are sweet. I never really felt like my poles were the right length so I tried adjustable and I have them dialed-in to the perfect length. The wrist-straps are velcro with a little bit of leather and the poles are super lightweight.

They're pricey but I was sick of cheap poles getting bent and baskets falling off.

I never been using the straps man. I just instinctively open my hands up to brace for falls alot and my thumbs get tweaked alot

Scott Team Issue is the best aluminum pole made. 4 years on mine and still no problems. oh and the grips are also the best out. its all about that dual density baby.
