Best place to ski in late May Early June???

Squaw then Mammoth by mid-june. I don't think anything compares until the end of June when Hood gets rolling in full swing.
As for the Portillo comment, South American Resorts don't start getting a lot of snow until Late June and then mostly July. Many of the resorts aren't even open in may or at least until the very end of May depending on snow..... Kinda like October/November here.

I went out to Squaw last spring (prob. last week of April) bought a spring pass for $168 and put 11 days on it. Thats like $15 a day for the KT and a killer park. Best money i ever spent.
 
Sunshine Alberta is open pretty late.

Also worth checking out if your into skiing technical stuff and there could be some park is the Beartooths in Southern Montana and Northern WYoming. Look at this website here. www.rlissc.com
 
I know in early June whistler switches from full mountain riding to just glacier for summer camps, which may or may not affect your decision. Mammoth always looks dope around late may/early June, peep clownschools trip! edit for some glimpses of the park around that time.
 
That time is good at Hood since there will be snow all the way down the mile = no hiking, and the paintbrush park should still be in good shape.

Mammoth this spring should be pretty epic with all the snow we've gotten this year. It was super fun the first 2 weeks in May last year, then it got pretty kinda stormy and we just had the spring park towards the end of may. Should be much better this year
 
A-bay isn't even on the same level as Mammoth, Squaw/Alpine, Hood, or Whistler. I don't even see how one could suggest ANY Colorado resort would even compare to either of the 4 above. I say this from experience.
 
You can get a spring pass at t line good from march 1st through may 31st for just 109 dollars. Best deal around, but June 1st starts summer season up there and everything gets really damn expensive.

yeah, i'm planning to be at hood for a while this summer, but 900 for a summer pass is crazy.

well, i guess day passes it shall be, 50 bucks is a lot, but fuck it, skiing in the summer!
