Best place to ski in Europe?

I’m live near Salzburg so it’s not far away. zauch gets loads of snow they have the best natural features I have ever found.Eva Walkner often Skis there.its not that crowded even around the holidays.I don’t ski park so I can’t say anything about that, but “absolut”park is in flachauwinkel (Zauchensee and flachauwinkel are combined)

there is some really sick side country.

there aren’t many beginners.

that is such a broad question, europe has so many insane options, if you don't need to decide now just wait and see where the snow is. Chamonix is iconic, verbier has some amazing terrain and northern italy is great. but also to go along with [tag=38820]@eheath[/tag] said, not totally sure you will be traveling to ski in europe this december/january
 
The 3 valleys is a serious shout, endless ski area with sick terrain, super fun place and Meribel has an awesome apres scene/nightlife. Val Thorens is higher up and has a glacier so better snow and is also supposed to have a sick apres/nightlife. Courchevel and La Tania are probably my favourite places to ski there, most fun terrain but Courchevel is easily the most expensive.

Espace Killy is also awesome, again another huge ski area, loads of big lines easily accessible and more if you are willing to climb or hike to them, Val has a better nightlife and apres scene but is more expensive than Tignes, which still has good apres and nightlife.

Les Arcs as well, amazing skiing and really good for skiing a bit of everything, big lines, trees etc. as well as having the coolest park that I've seen out of the resorts I've skied in France. Super cool resort and my favourite for sure. You can also ski over to La Plagne which again is an awesome resort but you need to be cautious of the time as the lift back finishes at 16:00 and if you get stuck over there, the taxi ride is stupidly expensive.
 
Just checking that OP knows we don't have inbounds pow like the US / Canada / Japan?

That said I vote for Three Valleys, so much variety!

Idk about that, I’ve had insane powder days (les arcs and kitzbuhel are places I’ve been which are insanely fun inbounds when it dumps)

also OP from what it sounds like you’re after, I’d lean towards tignes or 3 valleys if you go to France. That early in the year you want somewhere high so there’s less risk of skiing on rock

Oh yeah, I'm not saying you don't get pow or can have fun inbounds when it drops, but European off piste is different to what a lot of US / Canadian visitors expect in terms of the fact we don't have much in the way of patrolled but ungroomed inbounds terrain. If you cross the rope you are largely on your own if shit hits the fan, so you need to have avalanche training etc

Awesome, just wouldn't want anyone to travel that far and not get what they expected or feel disappointed, not that you would, Euro mega resorts like Three Valleys are awesome and HUUUGE

Hell yeah man. I was looking at a map of the Dolomites.... Jesus there’s ski lifts everywhere
