There are only like ten people on this site that can afford that. We don't all get sponsored by mom and dad.

Just the flights alone are pushing $1000. Sounds like a waste to me, but I guess some people have no problem blowing stacks like that.

I mean mammoth claims they'll have lifts spinning into august, and mt hood is probably your best bet

not copper. mammoth is an unknown. hood is a lock and there will be a solid public park open for biz. but I'd get it done in the first half of the month for sure.

You could say living in Ashville, New York is a complete waste of life, but that's none of my business. I'll be living in Bozeman for four years after this while attending MSU. Maybe you should do something interesting someday. I'm sorry you're so jealous.

I have come down to NZ from the US for the last 9 seasons. Nothing about it has ever felt like a waste. Its a pretty amazing place.

Where do find flights that aren't outrageously priced?

Hood is sick in august because Windells and High Cascade are done and they move the public park up to their lane so you can lap Palmer all day. It looks like Windells will be going until August 12th this year so you can expect pubby to move up a few days after that. The park wont be too huge at that time of the year but you can expect some nice rail setups, a jump or two, and maybe a janky halfpipe depending on how much snow they have left.

Flights to NZ will always be expensive. It's half way around the world. Just means you have to come for a bit longer to make it worth it.

I'm glad the liberals support my living off of the government for my entire life. I don't think I need a job.

Lot's of aggression from you in this thread. By the way, I would expect there are far more than 10 people on this site who can afford to go down to New Zealand. Some of us have done both the ski bum thing AND the real job thing. You seem to be very bitter.

To the OP, Mammoth has tons of snow, but I don't know if they will still be open in mid-August.

I can afford a grimey prostitute... doesn't mean I should waste my money on that hoe. New Zealand is the equivalent of an STD-riddled prostitute.

Please stay in the US. Maybe the difficulty of getting to NZ makes it better. You have to be super committed or have your shit somewhat together to make it. Keeps the likes of you away.

Living in one of the most scenic/active outdoor towns in world is a pretty cool investment, the skiing is pretty good too. If you work the season you can return to the states with an extra several grand in your pocket.

Careful, Ryhan gets testy if you suggest that he get a job. He will then criticize your skis and send you shitty PMs (I'm guessing they're shitty, I didn't read them).
