Best place to shred in Sweden?

Kläppen for sure.

Best park in Sweden no doubt.

If you're into Big Mountain you should try and go to Riksgränsen.

And for ski-touring, go to Norway. Such a beautiful country.

As much as I love Sweden you shouldn't go here for the skiing tho.

im gonna go to university in Copenhagen next year, and i want to go skiing every weekend, but i already ski in the Ritalin alps (have a chalet there) sweden or norway seems like the best options, btw i like skiing and big mountain not so much park

Oh that's gonna be expensive if you're gonna live in Copenhagen.

South of Sweden don't really have any slopes and the country is really flat for the most part.

The closest noticeable ski area is probably Sälen/Kläppen which is 9hours by car from Copenhagen and that's a bunny hill with some park features. Skiing on real mountains is very rare in Sweden and only really exist in the North.

I think you can fly from Copenhagen-Arlanda-Narvik (and then take the train to Riksgränsen) but it's rather expensive.

Your best option is probably the alps or ski-touring in south of Norway.

shit, it looks like I'm pretty screwed for skiing then :(, might try and go to north of sweden a few times tho

Come on, you don't need to go to the North of Sweden to find good skiing. Kläppen is very good for park, Oslo has decent park skiing, and there are a lot of pretty good Norwegian and Swedish resorts reachable within 8-10 hours. Every weekend might be a stretch though. But then again, if you have a chalet in the alps, I'd prob go there more often than not. For the summer part of your stay, check out Bispingen snowdome, they have a ballin park in the summer, and it's about 4-5 hours from Copenhagen, depending on traffic. But yeah, Copenhagen is really not ideal if you're into skiing.

yup Riksgränsen for sure but again Sweden isn't the best place in Europe to ski. Check out Portes du Soleil in Switzerland/France or Courmayeur in Italy. Austria also has great skiing any of those places should be worth checking out as well.

Yes, but he said he didn't like park so much.

As much as I like Kläppen it would be horrible to go from Copenhagen there if you're not that into park riding.

He could try and go to Hemsedal which is really nice, loads of fun riding the slopes and everything in between. Great touring potential and a super sick afterski as well.

It's only a 3hour drive from Oslo, a "stretch for every weekend" but I highly recommend going there.

I think our definition of the south of Sweden is different, Kläppen is def in the south of Sweden. For Big Mountain riding, I agree that Kläppen or Sälen aren't that interesting. Hemsedal is still 9-10 hours from Copenhagen, and they have no snow this year. I guess OP should head south to be honest.
