Best place to instruct in the U.S?

Hi guys and girls. Im from the U.K, Im a ski instructor and would love to hit up the mountains over the pond. We dont get info about the resorts in the US so I was hoping that some of the NS massive would be able to help me out.

dont go to USA come to canada... Whistler is the place to instruct.

or if u really wanna go to US, go to like tahoe or mammoth or somewhere
 
Depends whether you're looking for high pay or great skiing (and your tip hustling ability). Any of the huge destination resorts will pay really well. I've heard that Park City has the highest starting pay. According to my dad (who was on the PSIA demo team for a while and instructed a LOT of mountains), Jackson Hole had the best mix of rich guests and great skiing.
 
depends most mountains you have to have some sort of psia training if your an international but theres a few that dont require any
 
I'm not too much a fan of the place but my friend instructed up at Deer Valley for a few years...He was rolling in tips...oh yeah and it totally is about teaching kids and single old ladies!
 
I'm not sure what qualification there is in Britain, but I know large resorts accept other countries qualifications...

I've got CSIA under my belt and I've done a couple years in NZ

Thanks for the replies ladies and gents. Im finding it hard to get in to Canada as they require me to get a visa and a police check for all thecountries Ive lived in for more than 6 months, before they will offer me work, which means that if I dont get work Im stuck with a very expencive visa that I can only get once.

Ive been talking to Vail and Tahoe but they send me applications in strange DAT format which I cant open.

I think Im gonna be in the US and save Canada for later. Cheers for the idears.

VAIL VAIL VAIL.... i live there u see ski instructors gettting like 200$ from rich as parents tips after one full day lesson!
 
Yes mate Ive tryed them but they send me some wierd application that you cant fill in! Its doin my head in. $200 bucks a lesson sounds nice!!

I just did an application for Aspen, bring on the jobs.
