Best place in NZ out of these 4?

So at college they have 4 places in NZ i could go to study abroad,

Aukland

Hamilton

Lincoln

Wellington

So out of these four which is the best?
 
For skiing, Lincoln, but in terms of a cool city to study at my #1 pick would be Wellington. It's about 4 hrs from Mt Ruapehu, and is my favourite city in NZ. Lincoln doesn't have a ton to do. I guess its an agricultural uni where most people study farming. However, Christchurch is right there and thats also a good city. About 1.5hr drive to skiing. Canterbury has some epic small club fields, and a "resort" about the same distance.

I would go to Lincoln, but definitely live in Christchurch. While not as cool as Wellington, i like it there a lot too. You would need to drive about 30mins to Lincoln for school but have a much better social life ect. I'm about to head out, and wrote this fast, but if you want any more info PM or email me. I'm in the US for this winter, but i live in NZ.

 
don't go to lincoln or hamilton. Both are full of bogans. Even though Lincoln is close to Mt hutt it won't be worth it because of the people. I reckon Wellington is the best place for sure
 
if your basing your pick on the desire to ski, you will want to be in the south island. so that eliminates auckland, welly and h town out of your picks. north island does not have the greatest skiing. being at lincoln will allow you to ski at hutt and the club fields and you will also be able to make trips to the otago regin and ski in wanaka and queenstown. dunedin universtiy would be the best but if it's out of those four definitly go lincoln. hope that helps.
 
Im going to Lincoln next year and Its looking pretty decent. Stay in the halls out there, you will meet so many more people than if you live in CHCH in your first year and its only a short drive/party bus in to town and bars and shit. PM me if you want more info man.
 
and also dont believe all the crap you'll hear about lincoln being only an agriculture university, yes it may be strong at that but its not just for that!
 
I vote Wellington but that's mostly just cos I live there...
Anything but Auckland at the end of the day, IMO.
 
I live in the states but I was in NZ last summer (their winter) and I was in Wellington for a little bit and Auckland for a couple days and I loved them both.
But I know if your trying to ski then the south island is the best so I would pick Wellington out of those two, but I also got to stay in Queenstown for a couple days and it was one of my favorite cities I have ever been to. I skied the remark's one day and it was like between $5 and $10 dollars to get bussed up there and the skiing wasn't bad.
Long story short, idk which place of those four is closest to Queenstown, but I would pick whichever one was haha
 
fuck the north island. hit up lincolnwhere you have a resort and 5 clubs within and between 1 hour 10 and 2 hours drive.
 
yeah for sure dont listen to the shit about an agricultural uni. it also has environmental sciences,geography, botany, etc etc etc. definitely the best out of the cities listed in terms of proximity to ski fields, plus if you wanna go to the wanaka fields like snow park and cardrona, drive is less than for the other cities.

dont live at lincoln though. it is a FUCKING shithole.live in the city, or elsewhere if you can, unless you want to be stuck with cow and sheep loving hicks.haha

actually, fuck all that, study in dunedin at otago university, and ski legit feilds like cardrona, snowpark, treble cone and remarkables.
 
Otago mate thats the goods, auckland sucks. hamilton, ill feel sorry for you. wellington... never been there.... linclon, fuck that!! bogans
