Best photoshop software

your best bet would be to learn photoshop...its not all that complicated, just do some reading. as things get easier to use, they generally loose their powers to manipulate, so you cant do as much with them.
 
Photoshop is by far the best program for numerous things. They also have Photoshop Elements which is cheaper in cost (if you plan on actually purchasing). Depending on what you are looking to do with the software should guide your decision. Dont fork out the cash for something just cause everyone here says you should get it.

There are free utilities online that will resize images, save for web, change colors, hues, saturations, create b/w, sephia, etc... here are a few i found.

Shockingly, "To Google" isn't a verb either, though we're all guilty of having used that one before.
 
no, photoshop is a capyrighted name that many people use as verb because photoshop is the leading program in bitmap editing programs it is NOT a verb.... you should get photoshop, it's dope
 
to answer the original question a great open source (ie free) solution as a photoshop alternative is The Gimp.

and to talk about photoshop as a verb well while it is a trademarked name there are other activities that follwed in the same suit as this has much like rollerblading, i know there are many many more examples but they are so commonplace you probably dont even realize when you are doing it.
 
the "to photoshop" is the same battle other companies have with mp3players.. as in "I need the best Ipod" it also comes down to like you said "rollerblading" is the company while the sport is really inline skating.

It sucks how retarded most people have become and use company names to identity actions and products..
 
Its funny, in the legal documents for Photoshop, it specifically says that Photoshop isn't a verb, and people who use it as a verb will be prosecuted.
