Best phone for filming?

yeah I film on my phone!

Probably the iPhone 15 pro or whatever the newest most spendy Iphone is?

Probably more cost-effective to keep your current phone and get a proper camera.

I don’t think it gets better than iPhone clips when it comes to using a phone to film.

I’ve stacked some clean shots on the X and 11

I bet the new sony phone is the way to go. It's extremely expensive for a phone and you could easily get an actual camera for that price.

Samsung and Apple's phones have better camera's than sonys phones. Sony doesn't focus on their mobile division anymore because they have a very small percentage of the market.

I mean that's up to debate. Sony makes not only cameras, but many other camera companies sensors as well. The sony phone has full manual controls and doesn't go for the marketing tactic of high megapixel count and instead uses larger pixels for higher S/N. Their software and autofocus algorithms are also very good.

That said, you could also just get the new Sony ZV1, a vloggling focused camera, which is of similar size to a smartphone but the sensor is comparatively huge. It's cheaper than both the phones anyway.

I guess it doesn't actually matter if you're just posting to insta though.

idk what these kids are up about, at this point in time a phone is better than most cameras. don't buy a camera, you'll be bummed about the process taking it in/out of a pack, having batteries, lenses, etc. buy a nice $1k phone and you'll have an ace camera in your pocket ready to go at all times. idk anything about models but i'm sure any phone released in the last 2 years will work good. iphones are good, samsungs are good, probably plenty more.

Doesn’t get any more true than this right here. There’s a reason so much action sports is filmed with an iPhone on a stabilizer these days. SLVSH can attest to that I think.

I thought they filmed with gopros

That’s a Sony fact!

I’m almost positive they’ve used both on a stabilizer setup

SLVSH was testing using iphones for filming matches but it didn’t work very well. every released game is on gopro as far as i know

Keep ur phone and get a Lumix FZ-300. Its like $400 and has a crazy good lens for the price. I've been filming with it for 2 seasons (check all the vids on my profile if u wanna see the quality) its really a good camera. It shoots 4k at 24fps and 1080p and 60fps. Lens is a 25-600 f/2.8 which, if you dont know much about cameras, is really good.
