Best parks on east coast? +K

Loon has a really good park and so does sunday river

Agree! I guess there's really lot of best parks to consider in the East. You just gotta explore more further. Mont Tremblant, Killington and Jay Peak does not want to get left behind too!

pretty much what the other guy said,

1. Mount Snow

2. Loon

3. Killy

I got to say, the parks at Loon for late spring skiing are incredible, better than mount snow, and snow is my home Mtn. Loon had a 5 jumpline mid april few years ago and lots of fun.

Regular season, Carinthia imo is the best. The main park is a mile long and they're are so many different parks varying in size

Sugarbush is garbage now. The park crew is 12 snowboarders who purposely make every rail a closeout or something else to give skiers a hard time

closeouts only give skier a hard time they have no affect on snowboarders. Skiers need to start being more creative. I (a skier) came up with a few setups that we built this year which everyone complained were snowboard features and its annoying as hell. There is more to skiing than a 25ft flat bar.

I love reading posts about snoeboarders and snowboard features. Closeouts are snowboard features now? LOL.

I remember when down rail take offs started going urban between 04 and 07 and hearing everyone cry that they were being set up snowboard style.

Im a boarder mostly but i think of specific ski tricks when building features and setups. Ive had closeouts urban downs and other stuff though so i guess i hatr skiers and love snowboard style features.

Creativity is cool.if you cant figure your park out, watch some of the better locals shred. I gurantree youll find most of the park to be pretty shredable.

Sorry you hate creativity. You probably think the up rail redirect wallrides are snowboard only too. We almost put one in at west in 08 anf it was a skier that was pushing for it. Just sayin.

cloesouts have the same effects on skiers and boarders IMO and never heard any complaints because of down rail step ups

Last time i checked, Bush doesn't even have any closeouts this year... and the park is so sick for skiers.

Loon is prety damn good but they aren't living up to their potential. They have a dope park, and an insanely long jump line but a lot of cool features are never utilized. I actually heard from an employee they aren't allowed to put sponsers on national forest land, hence why all the cool redbull shit they have is never used (they can only put that stuff from the wallride down...and apprently some waterville park crew narcs told on Loon so now they have eyes all over them. Anwyas, IMO:

Loon

Killy

WV

Never skied Carinthia but from what I've seen they aren't what they used to be. Waterville has THE BEST JUMPS on the eastcoast right now. There are only 4, but they are all perfect, especially their two big ones. Haven't skied Killy this year but the times Ive went their park has always been on point.

When urban style down rails first became popular skiers bitched about them quite a bit, not the case anymore. And closeouts have the exact same effect on snowboarders as they do with skiers, you cant come off early.

Just recently at killington and I was really disappointed with the park I have no idea why everyone is saying it's dope. The park is built truly for snowboards which you can see in both the stash and neffland. IMO Stowe has one of the nicest parks in the east.

Not trying to hate but I have skier friends that love wooden parks more than most snowboarders. Just saying, skiers get down on them wood jibs.

I still have yet to go through a neffland. Maybe the features are lame for skiing, maybe you just gotta be more creative.

as a skier, i love the stash woods but i dont really love the wood rails in the stash and the jumps are okay, in neffland the jumps are bueno and and they have same nice flat down rails, and boxes, and mini rainbow rails, and then there are some features that i dont know how to approach. IMO i think Prospector @ Carinthia has better wood rails

hey yall where should i head tomorrow for good park?? from east-central MA

i hit nashoba, carinthia, and stowe over winter break but obviously shits lookin quite different by now. which mountain on their park game?

That is true but I had never seen a wooden jib before killington. With little bit more time there I may have started hitting all of them, I just always think about catching an edge and eating it. Beig creative or not I find neffland is a waste of space.

probably already posted but

carinthia

killington

sundown

nashoba

mountain creek

7 springs

loon

stratton

watterville valley

ehhhh butternut but not really

I will never understand why people like dub v. The park crew isn't super nice when you suggest something to them, the park is always windy and not much creativity. Small and the jumps are good but so overrated. Always get bored skiing waterville. nothing gets me pumped to ski like seeing people kill it in edits and then I watch dub v edits and my stoke dies from the place. I actually learned some tricks there but idk I'm just anti stoke for the place...

On another note, killy, snow, loon ( they should utilize space more cuz they have so much room that goes to waste) big boulder 7 springs and mslm and stowe look to be killing the game this year. Only skied at loon this year out of those and never been to Ontario or springs/boulder but the edits alone look mad dope.

Also gotta give a shout out to mt sunapee for making the best rail jams I've ever been to. I've never seen railjams like the ones at SNP and I gotta say they are on fucking point. Beat the hell outta every rail jam I can think of including RR (other than size)

In new england at least I'd say from personal experience

1. Carinthia

2. Waterville Valley

3. Loon

4. Sunday River

5. Nashoba Valley, small mountain but park has nice jumps and sweet rails.

the park crew at sunday river sorta stops caring after the dumont cup so it kinda sucks then but I dont think that will happen this year because they really stepped it up

You're an idiot please stop talking. Last year after Dumont Cup they had a sick park setup. Not to mention after Dumont Cup is april and they're usually only open for a few more weeks. Most parks kinda fall into disrepair late season
