Best parks on east coast? +K

Mountain Creek. Its not the greatest but its still pretty good. Youre also in nj so its worth it to check out. But, imo, carinthia is the best

Killington has my favorite parks on the east, but Carinthia is pretty much uncomparable due to how many parks and the size that it is

I can vouch for Sunday River. There parks have been so sick lately and they finally opened the pips. Jumps are big.

Carinthia definitley has the most diversity but neffland at killington looks pretty rad

Neffland is dumb (IMO). Bunch of weird ass snowboarder features

Yeah Killington is wicked good for having fun and dicking around with the bros. A lot of the stuff is weird and creative which makes it fun, but he's right, there is a lot of gypsy snowboard shit. I went yesterday and had a blast!

7 springs

Qfe

We have quite a few spring guys on our park crew at peek n peak and theyve transformed our park into Something pretty epic over the last few years.

Best 5 in order

1. Carinthia, mt snow

2.Loon mt

3.Killington

4.Sunday River (only since last year They really stepped it up the parks)

5.Waterville Valley

7 springs. First off they have a superpipe and massive kickers. The streets is sweet even know it is kind of small. And their other parks are always being changed and are really well maintained.

Carinthia. All New York State owned mountains do a good job too (whiteface, gore, bellayre) but they're not nearly as big

Easy carinthia it has rails, jumps and boxes from small to large. They have a awesome wood park, half pipe and about 5 trails of pure park.

I was there in December and their park was one of the best even then. Jumps of all sizes and brand new rails.

Loon has a real nice park. Sugarloaf finally pulled off a solid park this year too.

no the sugarloaf parkcrew is really lazy and there jumps are on the worst possible trail. and they are pretty small it is way to hard to get speed for a decent size jump there and they never change up the rails they only change em up like 2 or three times a season. sugarloaf park is not good

Totally agree that years past have been pretty stale rails and sketchy jumps but this year it's different they're at least being a little more creative with rails and after riding stomping grounds and haywire all weekend the jumps are solid and flow real nice.

your definitely right about the rails but the jumps are really hard to get speed for.

Waterville is a pretty good park and has big jumps, Loon has a Good park with a pretty long jump and rail line, and Killington has one of the longest non-glacier season in the US and definitely the longest in the east (Mid October to Late May/June).

Killington's park crew is all snowboarders, and it shows.

So is mount snows. Whats the point?

Are you one of those people that thinks urban rails are "snowboard style"?

Idk. I just laugh at the whole, ERRRMAHGERRD ITS AL BUILT FOR SNERRRRBERRRDERRRRSSSSSS, or IT"S ALL BUILT FERRRR SKIERRRRRSSSSSS.

Deal with it mang.

I'll second Loon. Place is underrated. They have a lot of shredders there, do well in the polls but you don't here them discussed enough. Alawys killing it. Imo they can build better than carinthia but carinthia has that all park thing going for them Springs obviously crushes it as well.

I always liked nashoba even though I've never been, some real unique setups. Kieth did a great job. Got some friends running the park their now.

Whiteface has been making moves the last few years. New blood on the crew is doing work, especially tyler watson. They're at sugarbush status a few years ago imo. Real creative shit going down but nobody things about them. Stoked because they've always had good jumps, but couldn't set up rails, at least down rails for years. That 34'dfd box would be set up under the lip and you'd go to disaster it and just do a big shifty next to the box.

Nah, the point I'm trying to make is that some of the features are sketchballs. Ever hit a wooden pole jam on skis?

Don't get me wrong, kparks crew works hard and kills it, the setups are always on point. a lot of the shit in the stash woods is fine to 50-50 on a board, but trying to slide it on skis would get you closed out by a tree.

I have nothing but respect for their creativity because mostly the results are good fun, but I was just commenting on some of the features that clearly weren't constructed with skiers in mind.

The burton stash for snowboarders? who'da thunk it.

Also I know skiers that slide some of the gnarliest most knotted logs on skis. Everything isn't the same for skiing and boarding, but for the most part we can all ride the same features.

Variety is the name of the game. IF you have all the normal features covered, why not add some different stuff.

I think that these are pretty accurate but I personally dont really like Loon PArks. I have a lot more fun at cannon than Loon and Dub V.

If you want some really fun creative big features with some large jumps to go with it. along with that it being a gnarly awesome mountain cannon is pretty fun
