Best Park riding in Canada

Hey all - I'm heading out to do a ski season in Canada this season and just wanted to get a feel about which resort has the best park riding. I know everyone is going to say Whistler but I'm tempted to avoid it, I do not want just park, got to have wicked terrain aswell. How is Fernie? any advice would be appreicated.

Thanks.

i havent had the chance to go out west yet (will this year) but if you make it to ontario there are some fun parks, nothing super huge or crazy because our mountains (hills more like it) are small but there are some wicked skiers out here that always make sessions fun. Check out Blue Mtn or Mt St Louis or if you want a good time at a crappy hill check out Glen Eden at night some good sessions go down there.

Thanks for the message man - but I'm definitely heading out West. I need powder as much as park. So.....

Whistler has the best park, fernie barely even has a park. As far as other terrain goes whistler is about 10 times the size of fernie and about every other mountain, the park is two runs out of two hundred+ trails. It's all about acres and vertical rise. It also has the largest most accessible backcountry, the coast mountains.

Also almost no other mountains have high alpine skiing, glaciers, and bowls.

Nakiska had the best park in ALberta as voted on by riders. Big White is supposed to be spending $800,000 on a new super pipe and wicked park.

is that even a question?

best park? with good terrain too?

WHISTLER.

GOOD TERRAIN? Whistlers got some of the best terrain to offer!!!

there's a reason why whistler is so popular - it's simply the best in canada...

...could use some better rails though.

I like fernie. Whistler is better though. If i had any brains at all, i'd go to whistler this year, but i like fernie's scene and the people there. So i'm sticking to fernie. The park is ok, couple jumps. The first hit is usually sweet..around 50ft. They take really good care of the jumps..they're always perfect. And if you need them changed a specific way to learn a new trick, just ask the park guy and he'll switch it up for you that night.

Fuck you man, there aint shit at whistler-

stay away!!!

I'd have 2 say that any where in canada interwest seems to own the park seen, Whistler, Tremblant,

Blue, Ste marie, each has there own cool charistics.

If you want to drown in pow, come to Shames Mountain, BC. It's in a small city called Terrace and you should seriously come if you want to ski good terrain. A couple hours hike and you're at the top of the mountain with dry pow up to your elbows and it's got a beautiful view. Sick skiing.

Whistler is without a doubt one of the best mountains in Canada. The park is sick! It's got something for everyone and a lot of variety. Don't be stupid man...hit up Whistler!

yea whistler is probably the best but you could come up to quebec and ski tremblant, st.anne, stoneham for the parks, and massif for some pow..

OK is Whistler really that much better than everywhere else out in Canada - I hear it tends to be pretty expensive and have a little attitude, also with it being so accessible, crowds have got to suck.

Whistler is expensive and there is lot's of hype. But the mountain meets and exceeds the hype. People from other mountain towns in B.C. or Alberta move to whistler or Pembie if they wanna get serious. If you want a mellow scene go somewhere else, if you want to get serious go to whis.

if you want park, go to whistler or nakiska, they had some huge jumps at nakiska last year, but if you want awesome terrain and amazing snow, go to kickinghorse, really cheap too, and nowhere else will you get 40,000+ vertical feet per day, that's almost twice what you get heliskiing!!!!

you don't go to fernie to ride park, it sucks anyway. nakiska is a horrible hill but it has an awesome park and this year they are supposed to have a crazy super pipe. but it is rock hard and pretty easy to mess yourself up.

oh..what's that? heliskiing for 75 bucks your first run, then 50 bucks every ride that day after that?? really....well then. Guess this winter is gonna be siiiick.

There's a good reason to come to fernie and be my friend. haha

dude travel the west. the east doesn't have shit. Start with the rockies, ski COP if your gonna bunk in Calgary. Nakiskas close and they gotta a really good park. fortress is damn close and they have awesome back country. Sunshine and Lake Louise always got good shit. The Lake is huge. Kicking Horse is amazing. you could spend a season there and never get board. Panorama has the tayton bowl (old heli terrain) and some super dope rails. Then when you get into BC. White Water, Red Mountain, and Big White are the best. Then Fernie Kimberly and Castle mountain. Castle is the most underated mountain ever. this pace has some of the best skiing in Canada easy. Then if you got the cash go to whitler. nothing not even everyone of the ski resorts listed has anything on whistler. do not stay away from whistler. it is a must.

best park ever has to go to Cypress mountain then blackcomb
