Best Park in the midwest

yes that is a sick jump, and i am stoked that u guys can do cool stuff like that, but in indiana PNS doesnt have the resources to build shit like that..and i gaurentee u that if the fp bus made its way up there, they would smoke the shit out of the tricks on that video...now i am not saying that i could personaly but the fp riders are badass mofos

so you just said it. the terrain park at marquette is better than the terrain park at PN. You said you don't have the resources to build something that big, enough said, post over. by the way every one of you ohio guys are welcomed to come up to marquette and ski with us at the midwest superpark april 17th and 18th. good old fatty pete just said you can ski circles around us so here is your chance.

I doubt the pns crew is as full of themselves as this guy is. (meaning they are humble skilled athletes) The PNS crew needs to come up and ski with us that weekend. There is no need for this shit talking anymore. There is going to be bar B Q's and beer and skiing in the sun.

man you fellas get awful fired up, i hear marquette is best in midwest from freeskier and the pics i see, thats super, i hear it has a great flow and big hits, awesome. perfects park is by no means the best in the midwest, its a very solid park but not the best. it doesnt suck by any means either. there are a lot of very good locals, not any better than marquette i am sure but still good people, everyone here is progressing very well and its a nice atmosphere.

i dont see why the grudge, we do what we can and its doing just fine, and marquette from what i can tell is doing great too, we will for sure be up to ride the superpark (i wont be riding,my knee is gone again), and the spring board. not cuz we are hard on ourselves, but because we like to ride, fattypete gets carried away sometimes

Pine nob is southern michigan i was suprised, but they had some sweet stuff, 2 very very large step downs, 3 50 - 75 foot tables in a row, and various other stuff. Mt. Holly in the same area is another little ski resort with a very nice park, they have a nice sized hip, 2 75' tables and a couple boxes and rails. Nubs nob in northern michigan, has a small step down and a large step down three tables (25'-50'and a table that looks almost like a step up thats probably about 50'.) Im gooing to marquette mountian this weekend, and i imagine it will be better then naything i have seen in the LP. Boyne mountian has a shitastical park, and i havent seen highlands park during the regular season, all i know is that spring board meeting kicked ass they had like 5 tables in a row and like a a 50' transfer. The pipe was also very nice. But im looking forward to Super Park this weekend...its going to be the best ski weekend of the year.

Henry, so you guys are still skiing? The hill can't be open anymore but shelby was saying something a while back about messing around out there with snowmobiles and shit. I rode marquette a few times and it was awesome. Even when the weather is shitty it is great because they groom the park every day. I doubt there are any other parks in the midwest that get groomed every single day. The people up in Marquette kill it and they are cool as hell. All I had to do is ask and I had a place to crash for Superpark. I give it a 10. Take a trip there next year if you have the chance, it is well worth it.

 
i saw some footy from it...i am one of the local from PNS....and marquette looked sick...good job guys....id rather not have a huge hostile argumet like what happend months ago in thsi thread..but yeah it look dope anyways...the kid with the armadas....god i forget what his name was...he was good...super stoked to have a good rider come from around here

Perfects is probably about 4.5 to 5 hours from Chicago. Its a pretty flat, straight, boring drive down 65 to 465 around indy and the down 74 until you get to the Lawrenceburg/St. Leon Exit. Once the park gets up and running for the season you should head down for a comp or a good solid weekend, when you can ski until 3 in the morning on friday and sat night and then get up and ski at 9:30. Thats a solid 17 hour ski day. Perfects isn't that big but its pretty nice and a bit more diverse than some other resorts.
