Depends on what u are looking for, 'Big' Mountain skiing i would have to say goes to Blue Knob, They have steeps, Glades and a good steep grade through out. The park is lacking tho. If u like park check out Liberty, Our park is pretty sick right now but our mountain is boring. A good all around mountain is Whitetail. They have a good park and a fun mountain with long trails. Roundtop has a decent park too but the mountain is just like Liberty's, real boring. 7 Springs has a small park from what i have heard recently but the mountain is also fun. It all depends on what u want to ski.
Blue Mountain and Blue Knob have the most vertical in PA. Blue Mountain is much easier to get to though. It used to take me 3 hours from UMD. For a real quick trip Whitetail is the best. I used to go to Liberty also, both are less than 90 minutes from DC.
I always thought Elk was pretty good for 'big' mountain skiing. I ride at roundtop and we have 3 parks, a superpipe, and a half pipe. So if you like the terrain park scene, this is the place for you.
If ur looking for Park, ur best bet is Bear Creek, 27 rails, 9 hits, 1/4 pipe, full time park crew, then id say jack frost and mountain creek NJ if you feel like driving a hour further

I ski Blue Knob and the terrain is probably the best in PA and I've been to most of the resorts. If you come up find some local and they will take ya through some of the lesser know trails where the better snow will be at especially after this storm. The atmosphere is super laid back and honestly you didnt hear this from me but don't bother buying a ticket. They should have most of the glade runs open and they should be pretty damn good.
If it's park you want Liberty Mountain is the shit. The hits are groomed with perfection and the setups are amazing for PA. The crew @ Liberty does a sick job of keeping everything real nice and the lines through the park are great. Besides they have a fucking wall ride that you can see through... What the fuck just got there!
if they have snow, denton hill in upstate PA is an unknown mecca, more fresh then anywhere else and they claim to have a triple diamond, its an ubber steep trail in the woods with lots of stumps. PARK is not a prioity though they have one.
denton hill are you kidding me?!!? holy hickville haha, i mean i guess its alright if you want to hit the steepest slope in pennslyvania but THEY HAVE NO PARK blaaahh, who doesnt have a park these days? just go to bear fools.
Elk mountin for big mountin sking and roundtop for their park
And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying,O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade that with it thou mayest blow thine enemies to tiny bits and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and breakfast cereals and...
denton says they have the steepest trail in pa but they dont really. they have a trail where its very steep only for 200 hundred feet. but montages white lightning is probally a thousand feet longer and just as steep.
my local bump roundtop. i miss it i should transfer up to Rochester so i can fucking ski. Cleveland doesn't rock.
If you truly expect to realize your dreams, abandon the need to be liked by all. Conforming to everyone else's expectations sacrifices your uniqueness and, therefore, your excellence.
nah man, denton deff. has the steepest shit, and as for 7 springs, thats a whiles out, i have been there in april for vacation but theres only one patch of snow lol, but yeah the mountain looks pretty cool.
