So I know there have been a lot of these posts recently, but they all end up with personal info about how to download specific things. What is your opinion of the best peer to peer program (Ares, Kazaa, etc) and why?

I have Ares light... i like it because you can make it so no one can get your files and i've never had any problems with pop ups or anything

I use DC++ and ares

i still use the old kazaa lite, i know im living in the dark ages and no one can get it off the net anymore but its simple and still works fine

limwire is amazing, i have 2000songs + and havent gotten ne problems, rarely corrupted finals..very fast seraching/downloading..never have gotten ne spyware, popups..very simple and easy...also i like mIRC but that isnt a p2p

I d-load torrents with a torrent client, it works well and fast from torrentspy.com and theres not as much crap as with software like e-mule or kazaa or limewire.

i used to use soulseek, but switched to ares and i already like it more.

use bittorent, u can find ur own torrent client, theyre all diff

and i use shareazaa for anything i cant find with bittorent, ui can also use shareazaa for torrents but i like using other progs

also for all the ppl using kazaa or kazaa lite chek this shit out

How do u use DC++. I tried it once and got very confused. I probably shared my hardrive with my dog or something. Do people still use WinMX? What about Morpheus?

there's not a lot of good stuff on winmx. probably because not enough people use it. i've got ares lite and i used to use kazaa lite. both work great.

 
BITTORRENT. you people are all fucking retards. i've used them all and bittorrent is the best, easiest and has almost no viruses. all 2246 of the songs on my ipod came from bittorrent.

bittorrent is by far and safest and smartest way to go if you ask me. the only gnutella based client that i think is worth anything anymore is acquisitionx, which runs on mac os x. so yeah, there's my humble opinion.
