Best operating system (2014)

this is a bit obvious. But which distro?

although I have been using osx 10.9 for the past couple weeks, and it's actually not that bad. It certainly has a more polished desktop environment than most.

hey I am by no means a mac fanboy. I just said that it visually looks nice. like I totally admit that linux is far more usefull for 90% of important stuff these days. unless you count using like fucking adobe software or final cut "important" haha.
 
Importance is subjective, one thing that is important to you (being a pussy and not eating meat) is completely unimportant to me.

But yes, I use adobe software every day, so its pretty "important".

For the record, im not hating on linux, im mostly confused why you're making a thread so you can talk about linux when 95% of the kids on NS are not aware of linux.
 
it was not a thread about linux. it was a thread about operating systems in general.

plus who the fuck doesn't know what linux is? or at least think it is an os? Like 90% of people use linux everyday.
 
Kids are idiots man they either get a mbp or a shitty windows laptop and unless they're nerdy that's as far as they expore.

It really depends on what you prefer, If you aren't gaming go with a Mac, but I prefer windows 7.
