Best NW Contest?

Hey all you so called know it alls. What is the best Newschool contest in the NW? What makes it so dope and the rest so dumb?

Everything is too scheduled and is directed at snowboards, skiers always seem to come second. Don't just give cash to the winners....best crash, best trick etc would be sweet. Another thing...it sucks when 3rd place gets a lot of money, but fourth doesn't get shit...especailly when the guy who got third sucked and only one because he has been associated with stevens for a long time.

That's a good point. The skiers are getting the shaft on the money at most comps. Stevens was good about it.....QP could have been a little better in that dept. Scwheitzer's events sucked ass. Snoqualmie needs to get more organized for sure. And Baker needs to put some effort into their events from a management stand point. The freestyle team and those guys try hard, but the big air jump and the halfpipe always suck. The area needs to commit some more resources. We need a more unified event schedule though. Have events from all the areas act as qualifiers to a bigger event like Vegetate, that in turn feeds into BIG events like the X-Games.

Yes, we need a series specific to each mountain/area. Like the summit's Nissan Tri Series, which skiers can't compete is. There also hould be a point system for each areas series and the top three should go to the PNW finals or somethihng, that would be sweet, but difficult to run...to many inconsistensies...judging, weahter, etc.

the stevens pass snowboard slopestyle. oh wait, it never went down? how come!!!i was out there with 3 midwest boarders who wanted to throw down.

Sorry about the slopestyle last year it just never happened. Put March 23,24 on your calendar. That is when the first annual Stevens Slope Style will happen. You guys are right about ski vs. snowboard. We are going to try to fix that this season at least with the Rider X, it is all a matter of time, resources and sponsors. Stay Tuned Oh and Tyler quit your bitchin about money, you made more off Stevens Pass and Harbor Resorts than I did last season!
