for the last 4 years i have got the double whammy pass but now in wanting to get into pow i am thinking squaw but i don't no does anyone ride there
 
Read the title again.

I am no Tahoe local, so I could be totally wrong. Squaw has the sick terrain straight off the chair and is definitely a dope place on a pow day, but it gets tracked out really quickly. However, Alpine has lots of sick terrain but it takes a little work to get to it and there are less tourists, so you end up getting more tracks. Plus, I think it's cheaper than Squaw.
 
I'm in the exact same situation and I'm doing Alpine because Homewood is on that pass too, so when it's windy as shit at Alpine, I can go over there. If you get a squaw pass, you're just at the mercy of the wind.
 
Squaw has amazing lift accessed terrian, however on a powder day it can get frustrating racing around the mountian trying to get yours. Weekday pow days were even still pretty packed this winter with the cheap passes. I skied squaw everyday you could call a powder day this year, and the scene got pretty annoying. I'd still say it's worth it to get a squaw pass tho just because its squaw. and the passes are so cheap if you buy it soon.
