so my cousin called me today and told me he emailed seth morrison on thursday, he called him friday at school and talked to him for almost 45 minutes. my cousin just emailed him talking to him about his love for skiing, and seth called him and told him he would have a chance in big mountain skiing. my cousin is gonna move from az and most likely to colorado, since thats the only aircraft mechanic school around any ski resorts. he is so stoked, and ive skied with him forever and i am probably just as happy for him. he taught me all i know about skiing, and our idol seth motherfucking morrison called him personally to tell him he had a chance at becoming a pro. once he moves to CO hes gonna hook up with seth every once in a while to ski. i cant wait to go out there and ski with him soon, and see how much better than me his is gonna be. its amazing. i am soooo happy for him, i am sharing this with you guys because i can. i hope you enjoyed and even care lol

jordan bular. there are no guarantees. we ski at 7 springs pennsylvania, so he is gonna have to work really hard to have even a chance. but he definately has the will power and balls to do it. even if he doesnt it will be worth if for him, he probably loves skiing more than 90% of the people on this site.

haha my parents skied 7 springs when they were kids. but props to ur brother, i hope he goes pro.

i know, he said he couldnt believe how nice he was. he got the call and was like whos this? and he said seth morrison and he was like man fuck you this isnt funny im in school, who is this? and almost hung up on him lol. but seth is really nice from what ive heard from him and other people...

claimer haha jk but seriously thas pretty sweet. its always refreshing to know that some pros are so down to earth and approachable.

thats so cool seth is my hero even more now. hope your friend can get good. he'll have to start all over if he's comin from back east to big mountains best of luck to him

pro backcountry skier from 7 springs humm that would be unheard of. its a whole different would out there once you get off the ice :) good luck to him.

he better still rep 7 springs, thats impressive seeing that no aspect of springs resmebles colorado, but props to him, dont forget your roots

i dont get it

seth says he has a chance to become pro through an email/phonecall?

was there a vid that i missed

or is this just a claim?

sorry if im the only one not falling for it quite yet

is this some sort of fantasy you dreamed up.. because it mirrors a lot of my typical day dreams involving skiing with skiidols.

i think seth is saying if you move to CO and ski your ass off in the BC which this kid being from 7 springs will have to do for like 3 years to get good at then you can go pro

dude hes sooo lucky im very happy for him i think it might have its benifites to live on the lower east coast PA area i live there llol

no he sent him a video as well, he wouldnt just tell him that out of nowhere lol. but we take trips out west every year and usually end up hitting up the backcountry and for a kid from out east he can rip it pretty good as is. but it will be at least a couple years before he can even think of being at a "pro level" he still has to finish school and everything. i just wanna go out and ski with seth once =]

haha okay. i dont see why it is so hard to believe, its not like he is a pro or something. seth called him and told him he had a CHANCE. nothing more than that...

well i grew up out west skiing in washington then moved to pa for school so i skied 7 springs this year it was fun but going from pa to out west is going to be a huggggeeee change people think skiing 3 or 4 feet of pow is easy.

I've heard that going from west to east is not as easy. And I'm gonna say jump wise. Because they're so used to the powder, that landing on "ice" is much more difficult.

ya well we are talking about backcountry skiing. there is no backcountry in pa. thats why it will be hard for him to go from here to CO. It is hard coming from the west to east i was broke more times this year from hard landings on ice than ever before it sucked balls.

That's what I thought. BC I know is WAY different out there, even if I haven't gone. Going to Baker this winter, and I'm scared =\

you should come at the same time i go :) its not that scary with someone that knows where they are going.

fo sho between me and sam i think you will be ok at baker combined we have prolly seen every spot on that mountain.
