best new england skiing

hey im from colorado and i came out to boston to go to school and im looking for the best place to ski out here. i ski pretty much everything in colorado, like park, bumps, and backcountry, so who has the best of everything here, ive never skied out here so i have no idea

 
wow you moved here from colorado? why?? jk..anyway, here's the deal on skiing in new england:

if you're looking for a place close to Boston there's mass mountians (not reccomended) or Sunapee, Waterville Valley, Cannon, Loon, Tenney, Gunstock, or a couple of other NH mountians. Most are three to four hours or so away, I say Waterville or Cannon is the best out of those three. In Maine there's Sugarloaf and Sunday River. I reccomend Sugarloaf, best mountian in New England. It's out in God's Country though, six hours on maine backroads to get to it. But check out Sunday River too because it's cool also. Then there's Vermont mountians...stratton, okemo, mt. snow, killington, jay, and others. I dont ski VT that much, but I have been to stratton, okemo, and mt. snow. all good mountians. Stratton isnt that far away also, if you leave at 6, you can be on the mountian at 9. Then there's canadian mountians. Trembelant, mount saint anne and others.

if you want actual skiing, i suggest not coming to NH at all, but waterville has one of the best parks, for the actual skiing, i hear very good things about jay peak, i don't know about their park though

but jay would be your best bet

jay has a firly good park. i forgot all about jay. they have so much powder but sugarloaf is a better all around mountain. from my parents which is in Coventy CT its about 6 hours to the loaf. from boston about 4 hours. which is a little longer than jay peak. accually shorter

stowe for mountain, okemo for pipe, and i'm sick of arguing with people about the best park...they all (well most of them) have sick elements in their parks.

stowek2: yep..theres a few skilled ones...a good number who love it and want to progress, then a bunch of morons that are trying to impress the boys by wearing as little clothing as possible and as much make-up as possible on the hill

I think right now Tenney is the only place that has snow. But for skiing in the winter dont goto jay peak it sucks or sumggs. Go to Killington or Waterville Valley thats were all the ppl go.

the homies at powder ridge let you do what you like though. i have never seen someone get yelled at by their top notch ski patrol ever. the 'slopestyle' contest didn't require helmets and flips with allowed. and everyone there is a poor bum except the owner you rocks a jeep.

cannon has the best varity of terrain, is is going to have a shiznat park this year , easily accesible out of bounds skiing, not crowed, good food, good trails
