Best Mountain to Spend a Semester at?

I'm in high school and it was my mom's idea for me to take a semester and go to any mountain in the U.S. to ski.
I want to work at the hill to try to keep things cheap, so it must have employee housing. I know working at the mountain isn't the best way to go about living as a ski bum, but that's the deal I have with her. Anyway, I want to go somewhere that gets a ton of snow and has legit pow skiing, as well as having good public transportation so I can actually have a life.
Yes, I searchbarred. Couldn't find much useful info. Maybe I'm just searchbar inept.
Anyway, TIA for any suggestions. +K

If you could get a visa, Whistler would be sick. It has everything you need.

If I was going to do this, I would want to go to Jackson Hole, Targhee, Revelstoke, Silverton, Baker, or WB. The dream job would be at Retallack.

I would say Whistler without question, but the Olympics will fuck with your plans a ton. If you are going to be in the states. Squaw is dope! There park is always a toss up, but the terrain is unreal. Shane called it home for almost all of his professional career... Need I say more. But you need to get there for December-January or don't even bother. Sierra cement blows all spring.

Baker, and Silverton are both dope but the housing will be a nightmare. Jackson is a pretty good call though. Alta and Snowbird are worth thinking about too. again the housing will be hard though.

Living in Banff, Alberta (Canada) would be pretty sick for a semester at your age. Drinking age is 18 (get your stamina up), there are about 3 or 4 world class mountains around (Lake Louise, Goats Eye, Sunshine Village, Norquay) tons of really chill people around all there for the same thing. Riding and good times.

your mom sounds pretty awesome.. i know winter park has tons of good employee housing and a good bus system. my first choice would be whistler, then probably jackson or alta

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I think I'll probably have to stay in the states but I've always thought Revelstoke would be a cool place to go. I think housing might be tough though. And my mom really is chill. One day out of the blue she just says to me how would you like to spend a semester out west? Yes please mom. haha

banff is pretty good, there is sunshine and lake louise, both offer employee housing... and lots of partying. They are also having an amazing season so far.

Definitely Utah. I'd say the LCC resorts (Alta/Bird) would be my top pick. Then it's BCC and Park City. But aim high; the LCC resorts would be the best ultimate choice.

i would go to utah. ur mom sounds awesome. i was gonna go to college there but my mom didnt want me that far away ( i love in jersey) if i could i would +k to ur mom for being so awesome

Utah. Kickass big mountain, awesome terrain park, sick pow, good employment opportunities, and housing is available.
