anyone know what mountains have good park setups that are about 3 1/2 hours outside of DC

wisp park is pretty legit last time i was there they had 2 jumps one 20 feet one about 25 feet jumps, huge S box, 2 picnic tables, and then a little rail park with a bunch of other jibs

but the kids at wisp are real cool fun place to ride

all i can say is stay away from snow time inc mountains (roundtop, liberty, and whitetail) shit is week and a mad rip off. for about 4 hours head up to boulder in the poconos shit is sick.

bb is just a little to far to travel for a day trip from down here, otherwise hell yah i would hit up boulder.

Go to Boulder - its worth the extra 30 minutes.

Total Est. Time: 4 hours, 5 minutesTotal Est. Distance: 236.75 miles

Snowshoe is about 4 hours I think from DC, I haven't been there yet but i heard its the best within that time range around DC.

7 Springs is also good, they have some sick setups, and is also about 4 hours.

Wisp was pretty sick from what I remember but I haven't been there in about 4 years. It was about 3 hours away I think.

If you're looking for a day trip then i'd have to say Liberty, Whitetail, Roundtop, you can get there in about an hour but those places make you shell out like 50 bucks or something for 4 hours on the weekend and i think 40 during the week which will burn a hole in your pocket for what your getting (which is not usually that great).

Other than that I heard that the Shenendoahs are good for pow in this region. They close skyline drive when it snows so there are no cars and you can hike up. Supposedly they get better snow than any of the resorts, and if you look, there are some good mountains to hit up for some pow. There aren't parks out there though because there aren't any resorts on Skyline.

hmmm driving 4 hours or 1 hour. if its a day trip go to liberty, hit up boulder for a weekend. liberties park setup was legit last season once they had snow to work with. lift tickets are expensive... but so is gas.

I live in Fairfax and drive to Liberty for quick weekend trips. I drive to springs about 2 weekends a month. Also, boulder is worth the drive. Let me know if anyone ever wants to hit up boulder. I will be heading up there a few times in april and may for sure.

boulder is sick but pretty far from DC, i'm only 20 mins from there now, but either Lib or Roundtop are legit, Jermey at Lib and Phil at Rountop know whats goin on for what they have to work with, it is pricey though find somone that can hook u up.

hahahahahaah that's got to be some sort of joke

i begrudgingly ride wintergreen because it's close to my school...it is TOTAL garbage on all fronts, liberty is way more fun in just about every way

when i used to ride liberty it was a lot of fun. if your from the 301 this is probably the closest and decent o
