Best Military in the world?

Who would you pick, Obviously the USA is a very big force, but if they were a smaller country with less people, how would they fair? Canada is said to have the best snipers in the world and the Brits have a very highly trained Navy Army and airforce, tje most highly trained in the world infact. Russia have brute force and Australia seem to pussy out alot of the time. Anyone have any idea?
 
America has the most powerful military......but we dont show it because in recent times we've tried to avoid killing people while other contries like iraq and afghanistan are fucking insane and shoot at anything that moves

I heard a military expert say recently if america took away all there high tech equipment, the would be only as effective as a third world country. Also britains forces are much higher trained, the british marines trin for 33 weeks, while the americans only train for something like 13.USA are always going to win out of sheer streangth, remember the goverment puts shit loads of money into the forces, but everywhere else hardly puts anything.
 
No shit. We're not a third world country, we have money to spend beefing up our military making it the best in the world.

When a country can come close to besting an F-22 in a dogfight, routing our navy, AND laying waste to our army without the use of nuclear weapons, then I might think differently. Factor in nukes, and only Russia has one chance in hell of winning.

F-22s can be beaten, they sent them over to to trining dogfights against our BAE harriers (VTOL aircraft) and we beat them fair and square, they didint know what to do when we started reversing and letting you blast past us then catch up and pwn you. And to the guy above, i just want to start a debate, i like debates.
 
I have no doubt that the F-22 CAN be beaten, but it certainly won't be common. I don't know the details of this training, but I'm kinda surprised the Harriers could find the Raptors.

My point was more along the lines of "what country can do all three of these things." Some countries can do one or two, but none could do all three.

 
Any plane with a radar can find another plane with a radar, can anyone get me the qulifications you need to become, a marine, an airforce pilot, and a first mate in the navy? I want to compare the with the brit ones.

And to the guy above ^ I doubt topgun made that move, it came from somewhere in world war one probably.
 
True, there at war with the country im in right now, a very peacful war, but they are, there airforce cant do shit though.
 
Its near impossible to become a US airforce fighter pilot these days. You MUST be valedictorian in your class, and have recomendations from a governor or top government official. Plus a whole bunch of other shit. Rigorous health tests, physicals, and such.

BTW the harrier is a piece of shit compared to the F-22. Theres a reason why harriers are being phased out...

 
this can't be a serious question. he can't seriously be talking about canada's and the uk's mililtaries in the same sentence as america's. no.
 
The US harriers are pieces of shits, and although the UKs ones are about ten times better there not briliant, our pilots just outwitted yours through experiance and expertise. In the uk you have to have 5 GCSEs at minimum A-C, 300 pilots go n for every training batch, only three make it through.
 
i like debates as much as the next guy but this one is hardly even close. china has a huge army but theiur air force and navy dont even come close to touching the US's. as someone said above none of us have even a clue of what kind of shit our military is capable of
 
i'm just curious, where are you getting this information about harriers beating F-22s? I'm not trying to discredit you as you are one of the few people on here that i can respect, but i'd like to see a source.

I know a few years back the Indian air force beat them with f-15s, but that wasn't really a fair fight as the Americans were not using their support crew such as AWACS and the Indians put all of their top stuff against them.

And now that I think of it, why would harriers be fighting against f-22s? Is the harrier not a ground support aircraft?
 
i was talking to my boss one day and he brought up a good point. back in the 70's there was a super secret plain that was released to the public. this plain had the technology of today, back in the 70's. so think about this........what is the government hiding from us today that has the technology 30 years from now. its just weird to try and think about what our government could be hiding from us.
 
Ok, sorry i stand corrected, it was the Harrier that beat the F 15, im not sure they did trials against the F 22 yet, but as you guys have said, the f22 would proably win.

Yeah man my vote goes for Israel. Those guys are tough as nails, have been in war for thousands of years, have a small ass territory front, been attacked on all sides by different factions, fight enemies that don't play by the rules, and still managed to hold their own...

Obviously America is the shit seein as how we have branches upon branches coming out of our asses of dominant military forces that have unlimited capabilities that most of us will never even get a chance to comprehend!.....i personally am a fan of our Marine Corps!
 
yea and my brother did all that shit to be a pilot and he didnt do it cus he didnt like flying thoes planes, now hes pretty high in the ranks for the air nat guard, but yea verry hard to become a pilot. and btw US deff has the best military.

The US Department of the Navy - the Navy and Marine Corps - could defeat almost any other military in the world, even without the assistance of the Air Force and Army. On a per capita basis, I would say the Israelis have the best military in the world, certainly the best air force.

Also, there is not a chance in hell a Harrier could defeat an F-22 in a dogfight. There's not a chance in hell a squadron of Harriers would defeat an F-22 in a dogfight.

All that said, this thread is retarded.

 
my cousin is in the canadian military and he said that the canadians dominated the americans in tests, but the canadian military just doesnt have the funding for good weapons like the americans... so with size and money i'd actually say either the canadians or the brits would be the best.
 
Every able bodied man in that country is part of the military there... which is ridiculous.

They would be the easiest country to starve out though.. seeing as they have very limited food supplies, and really rely on PRC for a lot of their stuff.

I cant wait for them to get taken over though (or to just rejoin up with South Korea), and be repaired and all that stuff... because they have some sick fucking mountains in the north that are just waiting to be shredded on.
 
on the other hand, war is pretty fuckin stupid and we shouldnt even need militaries, it just shows how fucked up the world is. basically when a monkey running a country cant solve a problem by speaking, he gets a large gang that he pays for to go kill people in the othercountry for him. Militaries should just be illegal in the world, sort of like nukes and the leaders of countries should be put in a ring together and have to fight eachother to the death and whoever wins, thats what country wins.

but i mean real war DOES cut the population down quite significantly.
 
you cant take out size, money, and technology. its all part of a military that makes them great. but my two cents of best military...

Britain, pretty damn tough, SAS are insane, however there just arn't that many of them,

USA, we got the best Technology thats for sure, especialy in air :F22's JSF, B2's, Night hawks, etc, cruse missiles that can hit a pin point from the other side of the world. A regular 'GI' is the equivalent or better then most countries SF. Combined with the over all size of the US military makes a pretty damn good force

Isreal, man for man (or women for man) they are really tough and deal with alot on a daily bases. still not alot of them, any country with any real infrastructure could over run Iseral in a month.

China, decently trained soldiers, however not used to fighting people who shoot back, there are still 50 of them for every possibly enemy, which counts for quite a bit.

But my vote goes for the Swiss, no one messes with the swiss, there is a reason Hitler decided not to go affter them.

The Swedes are damn good fliers though.
 
without a doubt usa. who would even compare the us with another country in the world on the military. i talked about this at class the other day and no one even comes close.
