Best memory from this season?

I forgot if a thread like this was posted, I know there was a thread kinda similar but just go with it. It sucks that the season is pretty much over, but you gotta admit we all probably had a damn good time. So whats your best memory from the season?

Mine was either taking 4th in a big air comp landing a misty 5/something else. It was soooooo sweet, I hadnt landed it many times, especially not off a big air hit, but I was totally feeling the energy of all the skiers and I just went for it. After I landed my adrenaline and excitement just shot up, one of the best moments in my life. I did shitty in the slopestyle portion so I got 6th overall but it was great for my first comp. Last weekend was pretty sweet too. I didnt think I would throw anything inverted in the pipe until camp maybe or jsut wait a year or so. Anyways the sun was shining, the resort was to close that day and ppl were just goin off. Some other skier was learning flairs for the first time and I just thougt, 'why the hell not, I have enough control so I wont hurt myself'. I hucked a lincoln and it was bad ass, landed close to my feet. Second attempt was a bust, third hit my head on the lip but the fourth attempt I totally felt it, spotted the trick the whole way through and almost stuck it. The next time I stuck it clean, its the best feeling, and I never even expected to try it this year.

Shit, my purpose wasnt to brag (not like there arent 800 members on this site who do the same thing in their sleep), but I just had a really fun year, and Im so glad that I got involved in this sport, I think the potential for adrenaline/fun is unparralelled with any other sport. So, what trick did you stomp this year that you still cant get out of your mind, or what secret stash did you and your friends find?

probably landing my first 7 and finally getting the chance to hit a rainbow rail...it was slick.

entering my first big air and stepping up tricks that I had only done once before. And spending some time laerning tricks instead of just watching videos and thinking im good

definitly the Newschoolers.com Festival. US Open was a great experience and taught me a lot.

having that feeling on the last day of skiing that i didn't hurt myself this year. i came out clean, unlike last year when i snapped my shoulder on the last day..... i still have 3 screws in there.

You know something that would really make me applaud? A guy gets stuck in quicksand, then sinks, then suddenly comes shooting out, riding on water skis. How do they do that?

the last 2 hours of my season at copper, it was 50 out the jumps were so nice and we were making laps through the park as fast as we could it was soooo fun, but im sure whistler this summer will be nice to

I like skiing

This whole year was awesome for me. I finally moved from Ontario to Whistler and it worked out well, I got a decent job which allowed me to ride 5 days a week, a cheap place to live, and (eventually) a hot french girlfriend. More specifically, I got a lot more comfortable big mountain skiing. I can ski pretty much anything on Whistler/Blackcomb now (minus drops bigger than 15 ft) which, compared with the start of the season, is a big step forward. And now that the weather is getting epic I've started skiing the park rather than just filming it. Yeah, this has been the best season of my life, skiing or otherwise.

probably my frist 720 i landed. but i bet the best to come will be in summer camp.....oh man i cant wait.

Definitely going to Alaska and skiing big mountains, it was so awesome, just amazing....

That and getting a sponsor towards the end of the season. Camp will be sweet this summer, but I don't think anything will top Alaska!

Seth:'That's a weird looking rail, I'll give you a buck if you can slide it!'

Taking second in a Big Air contest. Throwing huge 360s off this kicker we built that had over 100 people watchin me an my 10 friends hit this. It was such a sick feeling. Also the first time i slid a fun box. The first time i slid a rail i broke a rib. Also i didnt get hurt this year. I broke 4 bones last year and I was happy i didnt come out injured this season

id probably have to say unnatural stuff...cuz its opened up so much new stuff i can do...

Is that how ya do it in Canada?

i tried my first 540s this year and almost landed some (not very big but still). i know it seems easy to most of you, but i was pretty stoked by it cause i have habit of wussing out on stuff like that

def getting to screw the rails and jumps at mt st anne this winter...they had a 2ft dump all night long, perfect conditions..i was on vaacation so all the kids were in school no kids to wait for park literally to myself no one in the damn thing but me super super huge pipe and an 80ft kinky rail....that was a sweeet week the pow was nice tooo cuz i had my new fischers

well i have 2...

first would be skiing with Jodes... i love skiing with that girl... no pressure and we can both laugh at eacho other and also analyze each others faults and not be insulted by having the other say your doing something wrong try this...

2) woulda been this past weekend at the moslon ex pro challenge and skiing with everyone. hitting the best pipe i have ever hit. and just being in the company of great friends (all of whom are on ns. ) so booya to you guys. i had a wonderful time. sorry for the 'murder/rape' scare.

being fucked around sucks. to all u assholes around. dont talk to me. i've had it with guys.

Sure it was my first year of newschooling and I loved stompimg tricks for the first time but heres my favorite moment.

I was at Jackson Hole. My friend and I were talking about Corbets Couloir (jackson's most famous run...check it out at www.jacksonhole.com) for the whole week. On the last day it was open and we went for it. Dropped in, two QUICK turns and then I pointed it to the end. The Biggest rush of my life. TOTALLY STOKED!

well actually...the coolest thing this winter was just a few days ago...for this qp we built...we had to go down this double black diamond straight to get speed for it...over all the moguls and everything...and some little 8 year old kid was doing it with us...he ate it so hard one time, but got up and did it again the next run...

Is that how ya do it in Canada?

Stomping my first switch 360 on my very first try ever. It was the coolest feeling trick i've done yet, and people looked up to it, even tho I found it easy.

yeah....i'd have to go with andy and the quarterpipe....even though i suck, biggest hit of my life. i flailed like mad the first day, but was finally sticking some alley oop mutes and tailgrabs off of it the second day. the jump was sooooooo huge. and that eight year old was insane.

skiing across the ridge at lake louise on one of the biggest powder days of the year, skiing over to the furthest whitehorn chute and finding out we were the first ones over there. no work at all, just me and a buddy and a ton of faceshots

and he flew round the world on a never ending dinnerroll...

I dont know, this season has been so great for me...

Could be making friends in VT, whereas I had to ski there alone before, or rely on people from school... could be landing my first switch tricks earlier in the season at Catamount. But the thing that sticks out most in my mind is chilling with all my friends up at the Mt. Snow at the Anti Gravity Grail, everyone I had skied with the entire year (except for bryan gallant because of his injury) were there. What an awesome time, (thanks MC and Adam for including me :-) )

bringing a grip of skiers to a backcountry snowboard contest, and havinga skier take first place. it was the dopest contest ever. two huge jumps, a monster gap, kegs, almost naked girls, sunshine, all the snowboarders who were stoked on skiers, barbeque. it was just rad. it was in the national forest up in Lolo, MT. like 150 people came out. if anyone is in MT next winter i suggest going. check out www.niftytricks.com for some footie(hips-and-lips). see yall in the summer

landing my first attempt at a 7 first day of the year....and almost landing backs was cool cept it put me in pain, and lamost landing misty 5s...oh yeah and doing this big ass rail at steamboat that was like (I doubt this will work)

I just dont remeber)!!!

The best thing I heard all season.. was when one of my lessons asked if they could do nothing but ski park all day!! And then willing to learn how to slid rails!!!

MAny things where awsome this season.

1.) No bad injuries this winter.

2.) An almost 1000 meters of altitude powder run.

3.) Landing some big 3s in the pow.

4.) First backflip and frontflip attempts.

. . .

I'm looking forward to the summer camps, to a great summer and to the next winter.
