please dont tell me to join Build-a-Jib because im already in it and i couldnt find anything comparing the different materials i was looking at for a summer set up
-Turf-Outdoor Carpet-SkiTrax-PVC horizontally across the drop in-those roller things from the grocery store

If you can assemble it well, then pvc or rollers. They would give you so much more speed than turf, the only problem would be setting it up.

well skitrax is obviously the best but its mad skrilla, just go to your local home depot and pick up some astroturf. soap and water it and your good to go thats what i use and its fine

Im looking into using rollers, but I don't know where to buy them. and its pretty hard to find it on Google without a specific name.. any ideas?

yeah i just googled "conveyor rollers" and found a ton but its really confusing about how the pricing works so if anyone has a legit site for the rollers post it up here

dont use rollers, way too expensive.

just build a wooden ladder out of two 10' 4x4s with 2x4 ladder steps, then wrap astroturf around the steps and staple / nail it to the back. you get so much more speed and there is no need for soap, water, or snow gel. its also a ton lighter and you can walk back up the drop in ramp or even sidestep up it with your skis on.

if you dont understand i can draw up a diagram.

^ i use did the same thing but before i screwed the ladder together i put pvc around the 2x4s and they roll and slide. it works really well and you get plenty of speed.
good luck

there, that should work...

as said before, the speed is really good wet and even good dry and you can walk back up it with or without skis on

yeah that should work really good because you can climb up and use it as a ramp. Most people use turf because it works the best with water or snow gel. If you have a hill to use as a drop in I would recommend it because it's the closest you can get to the real thing.

the best material is what ever is free, you can get good scraps from construction sites and carpet/astro turf pieces from flooring stores
