Best Lightweight Touring Boots

Looking to get rid of my heavy Full Tilt touring boots. Want something lightweight but also good for some free style riding. Any suggestions?

actually tho based on last and typical boot fitting issues wit AT equipment here are my thoughts on a boot that will do everything well but nothing great

Atomic Hawx Ultra or Prime XTD - Easiest boot to fit to fucked up feet because of a moldable shell. (Ultra vs Prime is last differences)

Scarpa Maestrales - Ski well and tour decently (my experience) Intuition liners out of the box. Sometimes customers have instep issues.

Dynafit Radical PROs - dont buy the none pro model. Good touring boot designed to be quick in BC travel. Easy and quick transitions. Fits larger last

Dont pair these boots with a cast system. Please

another good one that gets no credit is the head kore 130 lv.

shell moldable with a better walk mode than atomic yet solid performance

do they make that shell in a none LV model? what makes it a better walk mode?

Im gonna add to this and say the new Quattro from scarpa is gonna be the better option. Gripwalk soles so itll work with any binding that is gripwalk compatible, its weight difference compared to the maestrale is pretty negligible and it walks just as well
 
I love my Dalbello Lupos, though they're on the heavier end of the touring spectrum. By all accounts the Roxas are definitely worth a look, too, in the 3-piece world.
 
Roxa R3 130 TI is pretty sweet. I got it for an uphill boot and liked the way it skied so its now its my everything boot. Also very light - not sure the exact weight or how it compares with other uphill boots but its extremely lightweight and skis very well.

I had one of these and it definitely is super light but mine also exploded after a season so personally not gonna buy them anymore but I think mine may have been an isolated incident

That was my concern with them as well given that they're a full Grilamid clog, cuff, and tongue. It's light, but that stuff just doesn't last.

grilamid is fine in terms of durability, its more about how the manufacturer manipulates it and uses it. the shells on that boot are just super thin and its the only boot ive ever cracked, and i dont ski super hard

Not the first time I heard this story on Roxas FWIW. Real bummer, bc otherwise the Roxas look like everything I like about FT Ascendants but ~500g lighter

Precisely why I bought one, I’ll just deal with the heavier boot if it means I know it won’t crack
