Best jump for 360

For the first 10 times, like a 5 footer for confidence. It’s easiest to throw on a 10 foot jump though- enough air time to bring it around but not too much to make it awkward

I learned on a one foot high kicker that some kid put together in like 5 minutes just outside of the ski lodge. For the first few attempts it's just gotta be something that you feel comfortable hucking yourself on. A sketchy one foot kicker isn't the easiest jump to land a 3 on, but for me I felt comfortable trying them so it worked out. Then once you're somewhat used to the rotation, do them on some proper jumps to dial them in.

Whatever jump or drop your most comfortable on will be best, if your at all ready and your judgement tells you that you will have time to complete the rotation in the air, then the jumps likely the right size.

That said due to fear I learned on carpet in my basement and backyard, made such a difference, I also have a trampoline but I don’t have those tramp skis

Very end of halfpipe where the wall gets super low and not vert. Use it as a kicker, landing on the deck of the halfpipe (if we can call it that down at the end). You only have to spin closer to 270 too.

exactly what he said

I'm working on it in this natural quarter pipe . I almost got the whole rotation just neesd to get that last 90° .For some reason its less scary to me than an actual jump.

jumps out of the park

do you mean jumps that aren't park jumps? if so, i say a windlip is best so you still have a familiar lip to take off from

if we're talking first legit 360s, i actually disagree

most tricks i'd say do it tiny if you want to start, but for 360s, besides just whipping them around off a little corner to get used to taking air while losing sight of the landing, i think it's best to do your first legit 3 on the biggest jump you're totally comfy on

360s on tiny jumps are super different than big/normal ones IMO and doing tiny ones can ingrain bad habits. i say find the biggest jump you're 100% comfy on and do it there-- don't have to huck or fall backseat, it'll just come around

my 2 cents!

also there are all kinds of 360s to do. i think tanner's are great ones for a beginner to watch and emulate. he has amazing style obviously and/but his 3s are super like traditional and basic (in a good way). it's a good form to emulate because he does em slow and keeps his body in mostly the same position the whole time. beginners always wanna twist around and shit but that stuff really doesn't help at all

5 foot clearance gives you a couple seconds to throw. That’s plenty of time to do a proper 360 unless you’ve never tried one on flat ground without skis.

i hear ya, what i said is a very subjective take. OP should ignore it entirely if he's feeling the small one first

A couple seconds?? How much speed are you hitting this thing with?

This is about a 5 foot jump (lip to knuckle). It may be a little less than 2 seconds in the air, but there is undeniably space for a legitimate 360

That looks bigger than 5 feet for sure. 5 feet is shorter than most skis...

It’s the camera angle. Here’s another shot of brighton’s majestic jumps

You're right those look perfect for learning 3s. However, no way you get more than a second of air on any of them.
