Best in Utah

I'm headin out to Utah from 12/28-1/04. Looking for a place to stay (with about 10 others). We're looking for big mountain, deep pow, and some good times. NOT looking to rent a car, so gettin around on foot/shuttle is a must.

Any recommendations? Thanks.

umm pay a lot of money to stay at a hotel at snowbird or alta. or stay in the city and figure out the bus schedule up to those previously mentioned establishments

If your looking for a good place with no car. Park City is probably your best option. Its not the best for backcountry, but their park is amazing and you don't need a car to get around and up to the mountain. If you can get your hands on transportation, Ogden is a cheap place and is out of the tourist track. You have two amazing mountains 20 minutes away Snowbasin and Powder Mountain. Not the best park skiing, but amazing backcountry and cheap rent. Both of these resorts are low on traffic and you will have fresh tracks all day. Best of luck.

park city has very good bc access at the canyons you can be at the bottom on BCC in 40 min from the top of 9990 and no one goes into the bc unlike LCC where white pine might be a mess....I would say that park city is the best area for stayin if you do not have a car...you can take a bus to any of the mountains and there are shuttles that go into BCC and LCC tha leave from park city every day in the winter that you could use to go to snowbird or solitude some day out of your trip...salt lake would be the cheapest but you would need to arrange transportation up the the base of LCC or BCC to get to the mountains....

yea it isn't quite is dope terrain and not quite as much snowfall, but pc is still a pretty damn fun place to be on a pow day and the trees get tracked out sooooo slowly which is awesome. And like someone else said if you stay up at alta/snowbird the only thing within walking distance would be your hotel and chad's gap. At pc you could walk around town and have a good time.

ok...so I think we're gonna go the PC route, since we're looking for some decent apreski as well. Now the next part of the question...there are 8-10 of us, and we're looking for a condo/townhouse/home to rent for the week. Do any of you guys know of anyone that's renting out a place...maybe something like a 3BR where we could crash? Any help would be great...thanks

well it seems like your going for the complete opposite of what you want in your first post.....

have fun with thugged out 12 year old who think their the shitt!!!!! oh and watch out for jupiter is gnnnnnarly......

actually im just kidding man, theres a lot of hate between people in LCC or park city but you can find what you want for sure in PC. maybe not as gnarly but it shall do.

don't listen to the alta/bird snobs pc has fun ass pow skiing and the vast majority of the skiers there are old people and shit who don't venture into the trees and dope pow spots. it's more mellow and there are less 30 footers around to send, but you will definitely still have fun. and at pc if it turns out to be a shitty snow week you can shred the parks and stuff instead of shredding bumped out runs all day.

don't go to Utah it sucks there, It sound like you need to head to colorado or tahoe... don't come here it's a shithole
