Title says it all, want to hear what you think NS. Trying to find a good pair of headphones that i can wear under my helmet.

The tuneups and speakers for helmets just don't go loud enough for me.

i use the skullcandy full metal jackets and they are so loud its insane, so aweosme when your ripping it up, ive heard the smoking buds are all right aswell but i love the FMJ.

depends how much you wanna spend. Go ask the guys over at www.head-fi.org

they know their shit.

I have been using the nike headphones

they are nice and stay in ear, but suck cuz they hurt my ears, i guess im being a wuss but anyone else know what im talking about? anyone that experiences this change to something else that doesnt bother your ears?

thanks for the suggestions guys im checkin into all of these except for thos $1k in ear headphones lol

If you've got the cash, the bose in ears are bitchin headphones. different ear piece sizes, good base. They're really nice, but they're a hundred bucks.

I can personally attest to the Sennheiser's audio quality. I started getting their stuff waaay back in the day when I was in high school from my father's audio supply catalogs (he owns a small hi-fi business) and they are outstanding. They don't come in fancy colors or anything like the Skullcandy, but the audio is top-notch, they are pretty much the only headphones I would be willing to pay a decent amount of money for.

alternately, if the helmet headphones just don't do it for you, you could do what I did and buy some bigger, better headphones and then take them apart and install them in your helmet earflaps yourself. It's not hard, just need a few things: sewing materials, headphones, wire cutters, and you can always add things like boxes for the drivers or extra volumes controls right where you want them.

I'd definitely reccomend some "noise-isolating" headphones for you.

Isolating, not cancelling.

Headphones that have ends like this:

I have 2 pairs, one of which came with my Sony Ericsson and it terms of in-ear quality for skiing I love it. Since it basically isolates your ear and plugs everything off your gonna hear some great bass plus it's pretty much as loud as it can get since the sound just bounces around.

Only downside is just muting isn't enough you gotta pull them out to really hear anything.

i used the ones that came with my ipod up until a few weeks ago, but they pretty much crapped out on me- they can no longer handle hardly any volume at all. i ordered some ear buds, just cuz they were pretty cheap. so far, i like how they actually stay in your ears, and the bass/ sound quality is pretty nice. not top of the line, by a long shot, but cheap, and quite functional.

i have the skullcandy inked buds and i love them they have pretty good sound and u can put different fittings on them to fit ur ear the best

ue super fi eb.5s are sweet. jvc marshmallows are a bargain, and ue super.fi 3 pros are right in the middle of the two
